Tony is right on here! The absurd exaggerations regarding the crime of illegal immigration by the far right are distorted and WAY out of the mainstream. If you drive without a license you are guilty every time you drive (if you MUST diminish the issue). To be here in violation of the law is an ONGOING violation.
But if you hate America and think that our laws are to be laughed at (and violations thereof paid for by REAL citizens), mere logic is no doubt insufficient.

While it is illegal to sneak across the border or overstay a visa, there is NO LAW ANYWHERE that says staying in this country is a crime, afterwards.
That is WHY the House was trying to pass a law making it a felony. Presently it is not a crime under our laws.
