CONSERVATIVES SHUT OUT OF WA STATE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION
Reagan Wing Press Release, Wa. State Republican Convention, Yakima, WA ^ | May 26, 2006 | Doug Parris

Posted on 05/26/2006 12:36:12 PM PDT by holyscroller

In a series of moves unprecedented in modern Party history Washington State Republican Chair Diane Tebelius this morning led a blackout session of the State Executive Board to ban the Ronald Reagan Wing of the Party from a display booth at the State Convention, reversing her position for the second time in less than a week. Whatever accusations were made of the group behind closed doors will remain unknown because, according to National Committeeman Jeff Kent, every member present was banned from talking about the session. There was no hearing of any kind, no defense allowed, no reasons given for the action. It was the perfect capper to a day Diane spent, alternately, talking about "unity" and attacking conservatives.

The Reagan Wing, a grassroots organization made up of many elected delegates to the convention, has been preparing for weeks to set up a vendor booth to sell t-shirts and buttons and distribute literature advocating conservative positions on issues such as illegal immigration, property rights and social issues. Every convention year, the party rents approximately 50 vendor booths to grassroots Republican groups, issue advocates, candidate campaigns and merchants displaying their literature and merchandise in the hours preceding the actual convention. The Reagan Wing filled out the necessary paperwork and paid the $150 fee almost 2 weeks ago and has since been taken on a roller-coaster ride with Tebelius's mood swings.

It was the end of a week of almost unbelieveable hypocrisy for Tebelius. Last weekend Washington Mainstream Republicans, the Washington State affiliate of Republican Mainstreet Partnership which advocates liberal positions on abortion and gay rights as well as fiscal issues like last year's state gas tax increase, held their Cascade Conference where they highlighted their many disagreements with the views of most grassroots Republicans. They announced their plans to run an ad campaign to oppose I-933, a property rights initiative and attempt to fill every Republican PCO vacancy in Washington with their brand, to essentially take over the Republican Party. In nearly every newspaper that covered the story, Tebelius responded, "The Republican Party has a big tent," and "so what" if they disagree [with the Republican position on issues]. But apparently, the "big tent" has no room for a Republican group that seeks to preserve Republican positions on issues.

By today's standards Reagan would just be another RINO.

Hope you're wearing asbestos underwear.

>RINOs and traitors have made their power play insuring that conservatives will throw in the towel and stay home

"Conservatives" must
be the craziest people
that ever breathed air . . .

(That's "conservatives"
in quotes -- they know who they are!)
They spend like two years

cursing George Bush and
cursing the Republicans,
and then whine and cry

people don't like them.
Hey, maybe people are tired
of your craziness!

"Conservatives" are
the Janice Dickinsons of
modern politics.

Listen, guys and gals,
don't go away mad, but, please,
yes, do go away!

Tragic, isn't it? Yes our state leg is full of RINOs and it's downright sickening. Unless we take to the streets and have a ten million man/woman march, I'm not so sure their goal of socialsim can be stopped.

But we better do something soon. Seriously.

Oh, its you again. The proud defender of the biggest traitor and RINO of them all, John McCain! I noticed how you couldn't manage to refute anything I said to you yesterday, yet here you are trying to be relevant again. Thanks, but I'm not interested in arguing with you anymore.

Many of the Texas RINO's are FORMER DEMOCRATS; they changed parties after the GOP starting winning here. If the democrats start winning again, they will jump back to their original ship.

The governor's race is a four-way contest, but we have democrat as RINO, democrat-RINO as independent, democrat as independent, and democrat running.

We need to have the conservatives take over the GOP and tell the RINO's either join the cause or get out.

There are far too many who are in the Republican party, simply because it is the party currently on the ascendance when it comes to political power. In other words, these people are here because they seek political power for its own sake.

The state GOP has been less than useless for some time.

Agreed.

[ The Republican party is deliberately self destructing and the results will be President Hillary. It's "her turn" and in order to make it happen, RINOs and traitors have made their power play insuring that conservatives will throw in the towel and stay home on election day. ]

Wonder what/how 10 to 20+ million illegal and legal insurgent aliens(or more) newly inducted into the democrat party will vote?.. Conservative republicans might be irrelevant..

DUUUGH...(Jaws theme).. Shes just offshore and she is HUNGRY..
And is capable of more malicious politics than John McLaim or even Ted Kennedy ever thought of.. After Hillary America might be UNrecognizable.. To any except a democrat or RINO.. It does appear the "fix" is in.. Few options for conservatives.. because most/many conservatives are not conservatives at all, they are LIBERALS... So appears conservatives are fighting among themselves when they are not.. Conservatives might be a distinct minority in the republican party.. They just THINK they are the majority.. in gross delusion and denial..

Your post is pretty much a specific example of the general case I describe in my previous post. We concur.

In that case, conservatives will sit it out in November. If we're not wanted, we don't have to support those who clearly don't need our help.

the GOP split over immigration is not about immigration but a battle for control of the GOP between the RINO's and Reaganites

I heard Rush say the liberal Republicans in the Senate were pushing bad illegal alien legislation in order to trash the Ronald Reagan Republicans. I have been pondering for some time the motivation for this craziness, and this is the only thing which makes sense.

Agreed. Trouble is, we need a mass infusion of new political blood and I'm wondering if that's ever gonna happen.
