I am posting this placeholder because according to C-Span3 There will be a White House News Briefing very shortly with Tony Snow. It was scheduled at 12:30 EDT but is late. This is the non-fancy ping.

I don't think you need to apologize, LL. These things are always iffy because circumstances change. I'd rather have a false alarm than miss the event. I think most will probably feel that way.

Thanks...So that you all can continue to enjoy whatever you were doing, I'll keep monitoring and I WILL RE-PING you if I get DEFINITE evidence of the briefing. Be advised Rush has announced he will be on either at the end of the second hour (between 1:30 and 2 EDT or between 2 and 3 EDT). I almost feel sorry for Tony Snow.

He takes this WH press job and the first major issue for the White House is a major loser with the American people.

In fact, all the poise and intellect in the world won't help Tony persuade the American people that the White House isn't lying thru its teeth on this immigration amnesty issue.

Tony will certainly help on all other issues, including the criminal leak NSA and the WOT issues, but on immigration he is facing a lost cause.

At least I hope it is from the WH perspective.

Mojo, give Tony a listen. He's not going to be saying anything he didn't say on his own show long before he thought of joining the WH. SO what you'll be hearing will not only be Administration policy but a lot of it will be pure Tony. He has some good arguments.

You didn't miss him HC...he'll be on Rush (probably in the 2-3 hour EDT). Rush had said he would be on "after the briefing". We saw an announcement on the CSPAN Main page and then I saw a confirmation on the WH. So I went ahead, dinasour not being around...But it now appears I may have jumped the gun, because the reference is now down from C-Span and the WH is always a little vague between televised and non-televised gaggles. We really have to get Tony to publish these schedules!

Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, things are slow at my office. I have the three C-Spans on the right side of my screen, Rush on the WKRC stream, and going back and forth between this and the Rush thread.

McGavik, who emulates McCain, and recently offered keeping Iran out of the world soccer league as a deterrant to keep amahdinejad from seeking nukes and the rise of the 12 Imam. speaking of McCain, he is now whining on CSPAN2 that once we legalize the iilegal aliens, they won't be eligible for earned income tax credit under this bill.

If McCain has his way, he will turn this "reform" into welfare for 12 million mexicans. Time to send a huge STFU to McCain IMO.
