Gee... If flap A is not inserted in slot B, then package HIV is (generally) not delivered. Intelligence and logic certainly aren't Sire Elton's forte!

"We don't have a medical vaccine but we have a social vaccine and it's called education." We also have a moral vaccine and it's called chastity.

If every one of those 60 friends had followed the teachings of the Catholic Church, i.e., chastity, they would not have contracted AIDS. John's statements are pure slander.

More bickering from gays because even the vampires are refusing to drink their blood.

He seems to be jumping on the anti-Catholic bandwagon that is so popular these days.Hmm..so what would the Catholics response be if the Pope and clergy one day came out with (say in 800 years) statements in support of homosexuality? Would he be "replaced" by the bishops? Or voted out somehow?

How can he blame it on the Catholic Church? Everybody knows it's Bush's fault. s/Don't worry, Bush will get his Opus Dei hit man on John's trail immediately...

Speaking at a business awards ceremony, he said, "We don't have a medical vaccine but we have a social vaccine and it's called education."
Hey Elton. The Catholic Church is totally into AIDS education. It's called "abstinence". You might look into it.
There's also the teaching that butt-sex is an abomination. However, it's there where Elton's education criticism has some merit, though not as he intended. Some Catholic bishops have an utterly atrocious record when it comes to condemning homosexual activity vigrously and frequently.

This begs for a song but it would probably get pulled. "I don't want to go in to you like that. The Pope says I shouldn't even wear a hat..."

It's very strange that the Catholic Church is being blamed for this, when in actuality, they had the most effective anti-AIDS strategy of all... It's also strange that Elton is going off on the Catholics when they can't possibly make up any more than 10% of the population of Britain. How did they achieve mind control over Elton's friends?

If you knew a partner had aids, would you trust a bit of latex to keep you from getting it? Likely not. But if you are lured into a false sense that a condom will protect you, then you likely will not give the odds a second thought.
Those odds are that condoms have a 10% failure rate. Them's bad odds.

Doesn't the gay community also blame Reagan for aids? Yes, they blame him for fostering the spread of AIDS because he did not speak about the disease soon enough to suit them. As though gay men would have altered their behavior, if only their political enemy Reagan had warned them not to have sex. As though all the warnings from the Centers for Disease Control and other health agencies somehow were not credible, but a few words from Reagan would have been.
Sickeningly dishonest.
