I heard the cute one Hannity shoot at the glaring holes in his proposal today.

Hannity is galactically stupid. I didn't hear his interview, but his butt-ignorant arguments against Dubai ports were embarrassing.

You may as well face it. Pence is the hole in the dike that will lead to a compromise with the Senate.

Pence is a pragmatic politician, not an ideologic demagogue.

Pence is a pragmatic politician,

Does that mean that when he's bought, he stays bought?

Really pragmatic and politician are two words that should never be used together.

pragmatic politician = euphemism for (politician willing to compromise his core principals to buy votes) The irony, is the only voters that he will be creating are Democratic ones. Welcome to the Peoples Republic of "Upper Mexico"

Pence is a pragmatic politician, not an ideologic demagogue.

The only problem is that his plan is totally unworkable. Specifically, "Representative Pence’s not-an-amnesty requires all of them to return to their home country with a guarantee of readmission before getting their reward."

If these "Ellis Island Centers" are run by the private sector and "perform a health screening, fingerprint them and provide the appropriate information to the FBI and Homeland Security so that a background check can be performed, and provide the guest worker with a visa granted by the State Department. The visa will be issued only outside of the United States." How can anyone guarantee that the illegals will be allowed back in? Why would they leave in the first place.

I found the following statement by Pence, to be ridiculous: "Outside of the United States. That is a key point because it is the provision that will require the 12 million illegal aliens to leave. Now, some of you are thinking to yourselves that twelve million people aren't going to pack up and leave just to get a visa to come back legally. But, I believe most will."

"The process that I just described to you will only take a matter of one week, or less. That is the beauty of the program. Speed is so important. No employer in America wants to lose employees for an extended amount of time. No worker who is earning money to feed and clothe a family can afford to be off the job for long."

Does he really think that background checks can be performed that quickly? They should be done not only in the US, but also in the home country. The logistics of processing millions of people through these centers is daunting to say the least. It would take years to do it. In the meantime, people will still be streaming through the border. This is all nonsense.

There's going to be a guest worker program. The spleen-venters better get used to the idea.

So now you like Pence. That means he took a steep slide to the left.
