Well read my history of comments to find out if I'm a troll. What Hastert did sent me over the edge when he defended Jefferson. And he wants congressional offices off-limits for felony warrants!
It made no sense what-so-ever until the ABC report. Character does matter. Remember we said that about Clinton? And the constitution is the foundation my conservatism is based on. If he thinks it says congress gets to commit felonies and hide in congress...then he's wrong.
You show me a quote where he says that he ,"wants congressional offices off-limits for felony warrants."
Because my impression was that it had to do with the seperation of powers, specifically with regards to the seizure of certain materials from Jeffersion's office, and the fact that Congress wasn't informed.
" when he defended Jefferson"
First: He did not defend Jefferson, bribe taking scumbag. He was concerned --- rightly or wrongly --- about the executive branch interfering with the operations of the legislative branch. There is a huge difference.
Second: I strongly suspect this was a ploy to get the issue of William Jefferson, Democrat and bribe taker, on the front page and keep it there. Hastert will shortly say, "upon reflection, it certainly appears the FBI jumped through all the hoops necessary. . . . etc"
This will leave the Dims out there complaining about the search.
