So Senate chambers are sacred grounds? What if there had been a human head in his freezer?

Does he mean the documents with Ben Franklin's picture?
To: Miss_Reagan
The judge who issued the warrant didn't seem to think the FBI was violating the separation of powers.

Well .. this is an investigation into FELONY allegations - and Hastert IS VERY WRONG ON THIS ISSUE.
He's trying to protect the repubs - and I say if you did the crime then you need to do the time.
I know how the repubs think - if they allow this to happen then it'll be their turn next - and the dems will not be outraged about it at all.

Maybe Hastert wants the documents returned because his name is listed in them.
To: Miss_Reagan
It wasn't a "raid". It was a lawfully executed search warrant. The objects collected are EVIDENCE for use in a criminal prosecution. Hastert's behavior borders on obstruction of justice. Congress critters don't have diplomatic immunity. They are ordinary citizens who are required to live the same lawful manner as every other citizen. When they break the law, they are subject to investigation by law enforcement. If charged with an offense, they are entitled to due process...not special handling like the Kennedy criminals.
The "separation of powers" red herring is being raised by criminals and cronies in the Congress who know that they may be subject to the same warranted searches and potential prosecution. If you do the crime, you should do the time.

Could it be that a major offensive has begun?
The Left starts "Republican culture of corruption " attack.
and then......
The Left starts getting held accountable for everything from attacking a police officer, special treatment for a Kennedy drunk, leaking National Security secrets to the New York Times and taking bribes.
I can't believe it. After all these years, are we finally fighting back?

I think Hastert is wrong.
Nor do I believe in diplomatic immunity for those who live at the UN.

BS - Congress can go to hell. Those AH simply want to be above the law. They trample the Constitution every day. I hope the administration calls their bluff!
Those AHs, most all of them, have surely lost my respect.

When Hastert couldn't succeed as a wrestling coach, he ran for congress and joined a lot of other losers.

Do the actions of Hastert and Pelosi, in reference to the raid on Jefferson's office, set off any alarm bells for anyone?
One would think that the intelligent move would have been support for the raid to show that they are serious about ethics issues. This reaction makes me question the ethics of these two critters. It seems to me that this may be a preemptive move to prevent their own offices from being searched in the future.
