Do the actions of Hastert and Pelosi, in reference to the raid on Jefferson's office, set off any alarm bells for anyone?
One would think that the intelligent move would have been support for the raid to show that they are serious about ethics issues. This reaction makes me question the ethics of these two critters. It seems to me that this may be a preemptive move to prevent their own offices from being searched in the future.

Exactly correct. The very first tenat of the Contract With America, back when the republicans were honest and sincere, and wanted to govern well -- the very first tenat was No Laws for Congress, that are different than the laws for the rest of America... Some of them have been there too long. Time to send them home.
