Would love Dodd to be the democratic pick, can't imagine him carrying his immediate family let alone half the waitress vote.

The Senate is a body composed of 100 people who all think they should be President, and one person who really can be. He sits in the big chair on special occasions.

I can't believe this piece was in The Nation.
Mr. Dodd is the possessor of an ego the size of Oprah's or Tom Cruise's. God, he is such a putz.

The younger Dodd should take the exit his father did. The body politic would be the better for it.

Thomas Dodd was elected in 1958 to Senate. He was re-elected in 1964, but in 1967 he was censured by the Senate for using campaign funds for personal purposes.

Years ago, then Senator Pat Moynihan said it best on ABC's This Week. He said there is a disease which circulates around Capital Hill. The Senators who catch the disease wake up one morning convinced not only that they should be president, but that people will vote for them.

The author, Ari Berman, is correct that Dodd is a Dud, but for pretty much all the wrong reasons. That, however, is predictable, as the author is a far, far lefty who has an uglier ('lefter') agenda than even Comrade Dodd can stomach. Interestingly enough, Berman earlier published
a glowing yet frank assessment of Kerry's 2008 chances. It's not clear whether Berman is actually supporting Feingold or Che Guevara's rotting corpse for the Demo/Commie nomination, or whether he's resigned to a Hillary win, but at this point I don't even care. As a Connecticut 'subject', it's refreshing to see anybody at all take potshots at the Doddering idiot Senator...

Don't get too excited here, he is just positioning himself for the VP role when Hillary moves to the Right to secure the election.

Oh, he should be president - doesn't Imus tell him this everytime he appears on his show?

Close to the epitaph on Elivis Presley's grave: " A living legend in his own time."
"Senator, I knew Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley was a friend of mine. And you're no Elvis Presley."
