I get really ugly headaches when I eat apples. Took me quite a while to figure that out. I mean, who suspects apples of being toxic to one's system?

It is probably what they spray on them. I know a lot of people who used to be able to eat them that can no longer. With oranges the skin does not seem to absorb the chemicals into flesh like it does with the thing skin on the apple.
A friend of mines ex throat closes up if she eats apples even if she peels them.

Hi Gretchen! First of all, thanks so much for the time you put into the Dose. It's very much appreciated and enjoyed. :)

Apples have a detoxifying effect, so I wonder if the headaches you get from eating them aren't a sign that the apples are cleaning toxins from your system. If so, that's a good thing, even tho I know headaches are NOT fun to have. I get WAY too many of my share of them also. :(
