That's not a Lebanese name. It is a Saudi name.

And we don't know how long his parents have been in this country.

Because as far as I know, it's true. At least, I read it somewhere, but unfortunately I don't remember where.

And in a broader sense, because I don't want Free Republic to look foolish. There are plenty, plenty, plenty of good reasons to tar MacBeth as an idiot, a liar, a bastard, and a criminal. There is no need to harp on the irrelevant fact that his name was changed when he was two years old, something that obviously he had no control over and probably no awareness of.

BTW, it looks like Zaid can sometimes be Mexican but I would think that Al-Zaid could only be Arabic.
