"There are two sides to every story" yeah, whenever there's a D next to the accused's name. When it's an R, they call for impeachment and public hangings.

I wonder why the MSM isn't reminding everyone that this was the guy who used the NG to secure his personal affects during Katrina?

Corrupt demonrats do not have to resign. Only Republicans have to do so. Term limits are needed.

Jefferson-D Refuses to Resign House Seat

How come the democrats haven't held a press conference in front of the Capitol to show complete support for this 'newest' victim of the vast right wing conspiracy? The democrats held together for Clinton when he needed them, so why not for Jefferson? Seems like a double standard from the democrats to me.

He's delusional. He's aware of how many times the demwits have weaseled out of trouble. Bet it doesn't happen this time and bet he'll soon resign. ;o)

It won't make any difference to the Democrats. They already have a sitting congressman, Alcee Hastings, who was impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate for being part of a conspiracy to take a $150,000 bribe when he was a federal judge.

I knew the day this broke how it would play out: if he'd been a white Republican, he would immediately be assumed guilty, his own party would pressure him to resign, the media would be all over it, and Jay Leno would be telling prison jokes about him every night. But he's a black Democrat, so he'd refuse to resign, the party would rally around him, the media would bury the story, and the only thing you'd hear is accusations that the FBI had a racist vendetta against him or that the search that turned up the dirty money wasn't legal. So far, the only thing I haven't seen yet from scenario #2 is the "racist vendetta" part, but it's on the way in: 3...2...1...

Of course he won't resign. This is the kind of thing that the 'Rats wear as a badge of honor. Remember the pep rally they had for Clinton when he was impeached? They revel in their lawlessness, because they believe that laws only apply to ordinary people, not the Elite 'Rat Ruling Class. So not only won't he resign, he'll probably run for re-election, and probably win.

What's wrong with havin money in the freezer? Is it against the law to have money in your freezer? No? I didn't think so!---Johnny Cochran

"House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement: "Members of Congress must obey the law and cooperate fully with any criminal investigation, If they don't, they will be held accountable.'' "

Now this is a red letter day. Pelosi and I agree on something. Gives me chills.

Why should he resign? He'll be found guilty of a crime, be given a slap on the wrist and his constituents will reelect him back into office. After all, he may be a crook but he's their crook and that is NO/LA politics. As long as they can keep those federal checks coming, any crook is better than an honest representative. Ask Ray Nagin.

The spin on idiot CNN is that everyone - Republicans and Democrats alike - are terribly, terribly upset that the FBI had the audacity to search his office.

Of course, it will never occur to the brainless mediots at CNN that perhaps the reason they're so "upset" might have something to do with the fact that Willy was the bag man for bribes.

Good, very good.

He will be the darling of the "lose to win" crowd next.

Jefferson failed to receive support from his Democratic colleages.

. . .save for Bill Frist; who is questioning, not Jefferson's 'cold cash'; but our FBI in their methodology of the search. . .
