Too late, the dims have been paying people to vote for years.
An additional issue would be the question of who gets the money if the voter is dead, as many dim voters are.
I'm pretty sure this wouldn't make it past the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits any "consideration or value" or whatever for voting. Statistically, a lottery ticket has some value however small.
If a bar can't give you a drink discount because you show up Tuesday evening with your stub, then this shouldn't either.
So much for one person, one vote.
I would much prefer that informed people vote on issues that they care about, not just show up for a payday. I have a feeling that the type of person that is influenced by this tactic will not vote the way we would prefer.

I agree, this is totally stupid. And where does the money come...the taxpayers? If people don't want to vote...then they don't vote.
We don't want those kind of voters. There are already too many uninformed voters going to the polls.

Turning voting into a lottery? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
It saddens me that they have to concider a lure like that to get people to do what is their patriotic responsibility.
