The taxable evaluation you pay is the price you purchased it for. It stays like that until you sell. That way you know what you are being charged.

That works for California because California also has a state income tax. Texas doesn't.

Maybe you would prefer that Texas have a personal income tax. Most Texans don't.

Maybe we can try cutting spending instead of a bunch of new taxes. That seems to me what a conservative would do.
