This act is very touching. I pray for a special blessing on this ship and all who travel within her.
I hope it brings peace where we need and delivers death and destruction to those who deserve it.
There was a girder from one of the Towers on display at our County Fair last year....I noticed that some rust flecks from it were on the pavement below, so I scooped one up (small - maybe 1/4 x 1/4 inch) and brought it home, laminated, labeled and framed it.
"May the Lord fill our sails with fair wind, support our hulls in inviting seas, guide our hands upon the tiller toward pleasant places and bring us home, O Lord, to a safe and loving harbor."

I was in Mobile, Alabama once and they were stripping paint off of an sr-71, so I grabbed a piece of the rubberized coating.

Lets see: # 1) American Patriotism is bad
There is a good special on TV about this ship and her construction. It might have been the History Channel?, Modern Marvels?
This will be the fifth USS New York. The fourth ship to bear this name was laid down ... 11 Sep 1911.
Not so much, American Patriotism, but any reminders of 9-11 are to be avoided at all times. Must not stir the people's minds up with reminders that we are actually in a war for our very existence. Notice that, unless there is something bad happening in Afghanistan it is pretty much ignored. Iraq, Iraq, Iraq is the MSM's sole target. Any connection to 9-11 is dismissed and the news must be bad at all times...........
Other than that, dang they are doing a fine job of journalism!

Although this is great, only the nose of the ship is made of Sept. the 11th steel! I saw the episode on THC!
