Kalifornia needs some enforcement of our laws for illegals.

I’m also sorry that he cannot control illegal immigration. He should go over to Mexico and demand that Mexico abandon their neo-serfdom economic system, where 27 rich white families and make their economic system more democratic. That way, a young Mexican would feel as though they have a future in Mexico and have no need to come to America, thereby eliminating illegal immigration to a trickle.

That paragraph just doesn't make much sense.

Yeah, I just caught that in my revision of the article.

It should read "I’m also sorry that he cannot control illegal immigration. He should go over to Mexico and demand that Mexico abandon their neo-serfdom economic system, where 27 rich white families control everything. He should step right in there and demand that Mexico make their economic system more democratic. That way, a young Mexican would feel as though they have a future in Mexico and have no need to come to America, thereby eliminating illegal immigration to a trickle.?

"I'm sorry he won't repay the people in my state, California, for their ruined hospitals, school system, and prison system, while taking the citizen's tax dollars."

California is it's own problem. It made the problems for itself by becoming a more liberal mecca than Massachusetts.

California elected it's own problems over the years and that can not be blamed on anyone outside themselves. If they wanted to elect conservative leaders they could/would. But they do not.

The majority of the state wants socialism and so that is what they get. When enough say "stop, change" the will. I am not holding my breath.

I do not disagree with you that California is infested with leftest wackos that have done damage to our state.

I will have to disagree when it comes to illegals. The Republican party in general, and our nation's leadership in particular have turned a blind eye to the dangerous levels of illegal immigration in Kalifornia. Bush is not the only president to ignore what has happened to our state, but he certainly has brought the infestation to its greatest level yet seen.

Enough is enough. We must demand of our government to turn off the spigot. We must demand it of this president now. Not because he is the one who caused it, but he currently occupies the oval office and we need something done now, this minute. He has done what every president since Reagan has done; dismissed it, ignored it, encouraged it, and dismissed those who raise the alarm.

I am not the one who needs to move. Don't think that this problem doesn't and won't affect the rest of our nation. Reagan gave amnesty to millions, Bush, aided by our federal government, is about to give amnesty to many millions more than we've ever had. The legislation proposed will allow all their dependants to come in too. In the end, we are looking at as many as 200 mil. coming into our country. When Kalifornia is full, guess where they'll go? How much room do you have in your state?

He is proposing offering social security payments to them too. Guess who pays for all of that friend, you and me. So far, we are looking at as much as 10% of the population of Mexico having moved to the US. Where would you suggest I move to?

"i guess i would move if i felt that bad"

How sad that someone would suggest that an American citizen should move because of the damage caused by invaders from a foreign country. Should we just keep on moving until the illegals have taken over the whole Country?

With attitudes like this there is no hope for the future of America.

I really enjoyed the read, but I had a hard time making the verses fit the tune, Brenda Lee really was a good apologizer.

I’m sorry for those of you who thought you were screwed over during the 2000 election. We should have made more efforts to count only the Democratic-leaning counties of Florida to ensure who really won the state of Florida."

Well .. just to get the record straight FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME - one year after the 2000 election - the Miami Herald, the WP, the Boston Globe and an assortment of other left-leaning media outlets pooled their money and paid the necessary fee in order to recount THE WHOLE STATE OF FLORIDA. Guess what .. BUSH STILL WON!! And .. they ended up with Bush at 1500 votes over Gore - not 537 - proving to me once again that the dems stole 1000 votes - but it still wasn't enough. But .. the Miami Herald was the only paper who printed a tiny little article about it - in the back of their paper. Instead of bringing the country together by printing the truth .. these media outlets kept silent and allowed the BIG LIE of BUSH STOLE THE ELECTION to prevail. I will never forgive them for that treachery.

Thank you. Interestingly enough, the article doesn't confirm that he actually sang the anthem in Spanish. He might just as easily been singing in English while others were singing in Spanish. Considering all the speeches he's made in front of Hispanic groups, one would think there would be more than one unconfirmed print reference in a Clintonista group's book.

Rice's statement has to do with English language versions, not foreign ones, yet it's presented here as some sort of confused message from the Administration. A particularly lame portion of the article was that Jon Secada might have sung it in Spanish at an inauguration event but then the author states that most news accounts reported that it was America the Beautiful.

Please provide a link to this Miami Herald article you speak of that states that Bush won by 1500 votes (if it exists?). Nearly all other sources says this issue is still unresolved; some say Gore won.
