The real shame of it, is that BUSH could have been the Greatest of our time with his tax cuts, the war on Terror, the economy.

But he is woeful dealing with Illegal Immgration. Maybe with two years left, he will redeem himself, at least with me, on that issue..and I don't feel good about arguing with my FR friends..FRiend :)

But, you see, he does not see you as the source of his redemption. That is the whole point.

I do not agree with the President on immigration, but the author of this piece correctly notes that his position on the issue has been consistent from Day One. His convictions do not arise from polls or our tantrums. Given that fact, I have no temptation to abandon him politically when our positions diverge.

I don't either, spectre. We shall agree to disagree on the negative effect on his greatness of illegal immigration.

I think he will be remembered for being vigilant in protecting this country against terror, for reviving a dying clinton economy against incredible odds, and for a vision of freedom and peace through strength that few American Presidents have ever had.

Glad this little tiff is over. :)
