I totally agree with you. President Bush is a president first and a people pleaser last. Republicans act as though he is some kind of traitor every time he supports a policy that the party as a whole does not favor. (The Dems aren't even worth mentioning; they hated him before he even got elected and had a chance to prove himself).

Your picture of him getting in the plane is heartbreaking after the way his heroism and courage has affected so many lives. Unfortunately, most people never realize what they've got until it's gone. Election 2008 is going to be depressing. I'll have to find someone else to vote for. Granted, I don't agree with every aspect of Bush's vision for America, but I admire him. When I look at his face, I see a man who follows his conscience and wants to do what is best for his country, even when his country is primarily interested in dragging him through the mud.

WRONG. The correct statement is "Republicans act as though he is some kind of traitor every time he supports any immigration policy that does not say "I'm going to personally kill every illegal who does not leave tommorrow."
