Most Bush supporters would love to discuss illegal immigration, and share their concern over the seriousness of it, but wouldn't come near an immigration thread with a ten foot pole because of the vitriol against the President and us on them. (And resent that immigration trolls invade every single thread whether the subject is on topic or not)
You can see how thoughtful and concerned Bush supporters are on the subject if you find the handful of threads where it's discussed without rancor.
We have, in essence, been shut out of the discussion, other than the handful of us who are either brave or crazy, and battle through the attacks to get our points across.
Careful. The rules are: she can needle and mock anyone she wants, but no one better do it to her, see, or she'll tell on them. She's what you call a REAL conservative.
Yes, it's the vitriol that gets to them. When I came on this thread and said Bush is a nice fellow but I wish he took immigration more seriously, the vitriol of those words nearly left them speechless, poor dears. They almost dropped their knitting needles.
Don't do it again.
Oh, and when there are new rules, the "REAL" conservatives will inform you as they make them up.

But I'm asking you to understand that some of us have had enough. Many have left FR, many have gone into hiding, and some of us have stayed to fight..........and sometimes we go over the line.
I started a thread for civil discussion of illegal immigration, and there were over 11,000 hits.
We are CRAVING this discussion, nightmare, but most of us can't handle seeing the brutality against the President. If that would stop, and there would be rational discussion of the issue, you would see some enormous changes on FR.
What a vicious attack that was. I feel so bad about it now. No wonder everyone piled on like they did... those who weren't staggering across their living rooms clutching their chests in agony, that is...
I am still waiting for the objective cool headed Bushbot response as to why they want to destroy this country with illegal immigration but the day will never come I am afraid. Now I will be painted as "hateful" and a single issue person but hey the sovereignty of this country means something to me. Well its time to get to work pay more taxes for our future American citizens that are in the millions from our southern border of Mexico that are the invited guests of George Bush, The RINOs and the Bush Robots that adore them. Of course it won't because your premise is false. You have seen me called a Bushbot, and I strongly oppose illegal immigration, and the guestworker program. Our two RINO Senators who have voted for this AWFUL Senate bills have had angry phone calls and e-mails from both my husband and me.

Well, you won't be if you aren't.........at least not by me. I've never seen you troll threads and stick illegal immigration Bush bashing on totally inappropriate threads. If you aren't doing that, then you aren't guilty, and you shouldn't feel as though you're included in that very real group on this forum.
Those of us who do seek to follow God's commands, might disagree with the President, but we do not hate.
btw, I have said some things on this thread that I really regret, but I'm not going to be sucked into this any further no matter who tries to do it or how it is being done.

I am NOT a " DU push poser" and there are other's here who are not, also. I love GW and what he has done, but he is wrong, wrong, wrong (in the words of "Sheets Byrd") about immigration. To suggest anyone dissenting with YOUR unconditional acceptance of anything GW does is naive. There ARE honest people who can honest disagreement with honest people.
To disagree with the "Guest Worker" policy and what to do about illegal aliens is one thing, But to attack not only the President's intelligance among other things, but also those who maintian thoer support of him while disagreeing with certian of his policies is just plain wrong.
Just stop with the personal attacks of him and those who support him, that's all I'm asking.
