Clinton Warns Against Global Warming ("more profound threat than terrorism")
Anadolu News Agency ^ | Monday, May 22, 2006

Former US President Bill Clinton noted that global warming will pose a greater risk than terror in the future and added that all countries should take precautions in this frame.

Talking to a graduating class of the University of Texas' Lyndon Johnson School of Public Affairs, Clinton made some warnings about global warming.

Clinton defended that the United States should adopt policies on global warming that will bring more strategic partners and fewer enemies and use channels of institutionalized cooperation.

“Climate change is more remote than terror but a more profound threat to the future of the children and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” Clinton told.

How many people have died from Global Warming in the past 5 years? How many people have died from Terrorism?

Clintoon, get your head out of the sand. Sure, fighting terrorism is hard and you want to hide from it's reality, but you need to have at least one foot in reality.

A few thousand were killed by terrorism on his watch due to his inactions. How many perished because of warm weather during that same time?

Well, then shut up! Think of all the hot air and carbon dioxide that won't worsen the "problem".

Bill, you had 8 years to address global warming. You did nothing. So sit down and shut up.

I am glad this is getting some press. I am quite amazed that Clinton doesn't know better than to spew things like this. But I am glad he is.

If we can lock in those great-grandchildren, we can put this one in the bank.

Even if you assume arguendo that he's correct, his asleep at the wheel presidency did absolutely nothing to address the problem - another failure that's part of his legacy.

Actually, his wife as POTUS would present a bigger risk than terrorism and all countries should take precautions in that frame.

I'd like this POS to say this to the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, WTC victims (from 9/11 and the first bombing), workers at the Pentagon, families of passengers on flight 93, victims of the London bombings, victims of the Madrid bombings, those who had anthrax sent to them in the mail, victims of the embassy bombings, Leon Klinghoffer, and countless others.

Let him say this stupid crap to these people and see their reactions.

I loathe this scumbag. Can't believe so many people still love this criminal so much.

Global warming does pose a serious threat. Particularly if we put Clinton, Gore, and the Democrats back in charge.

Former US President Bill Clinton noted that global warming will pose a greater risk than terror

He's quoting from the front cover of Vanity Fair a couple of months back--a step up from his normal reading matter, I guess, but not by much.

How many people have died from Global Warming in the past 5 years?

Millions.

Everybody who died in a flood, crashed their car on an icy road, got struck by lightning, had a heartattack from the heat, froze to death in the snow, got eaten by a shark, died of starvation, died of malaria, etc. are all considered direct victims of global warming by the wacko left.

When the day comes that leftists will seperate what is happening to our world's environment and start the conversation with knowns rather than speculation people might even put stock in this issue coming from Bill Clinton.

Global warming is one thing, that phrase being synonymous with SUV's and fossil fuels is where the left has gone so wrong and why so many simply dismiss it.

This same thing is done by the left when they try to talk about healthcare and healthcare cost as if they are the very same thing.

Global warming is happening. It is my position that humans cannot and never have conrolled this cycle. Sure we may be able to add a tiny bit of influence toward it but it is a foolish claim to blame it all on us or to think we can actually control it thru our own actions. How aloof can one get?

Maybe, just maybe, people like Bill Clinton could garner more realistic attention if they ended the fear mongering that comes in their attempt to assign blame and instead seek cooperation into the study of what is really happening and why. But I suppose that is too much to ask from an ideologue.
