Michael Bellesisles made up stuff to promote his anti-gun agenda.
Churchill made up stuff to promote his anti-American agenda.
Galbraith was wrong about economics, he didn't care he was too busy pushing his agenda.
Richard Hofstadter was wrong about Hitory, he didn't care he was too busy pushing his agenda.
Dan Rather, Jason Blair, etc. lied about the news, they didn't care -- they were too busy pushing their agenda.

Why do leftwing ideas and viewpoints continue to have ANY credibility?

"Why do leftwing ideas and viewpoints continue to have ANY credibility?"

Well, ask the question the police ask why crime is committed, "Who benefits?" All of the people you mentioned were contributing to the destruction of American society. It therefore follows logically that the beneficiary must be outside of America. How about Russia?

Fake but accurate!

It is the premise on which they all work. The facts are irrelevant to perceived truth. Don't forget, these are professors! If the facts disagree with them, then the facts must be wrong.

This is impressive.

One really does wonder how the left can live in fantasyland so much of the time. I mean they (academic and media-types alike) were wrong in every assertion they made about Soviet activities during the Cold War. I mean, with the exception of water floridation, everything anyone on the right said was a Communist plot actually was a Communist plot from Finnish neutrality, to the nuclear freeze movement, to VVAW; Alger Hiss really was a Soviet agent; Hollywood really was infiltrated by Communists (Bertold Brecht was the leader of the cell); and on and on.

Why the expect anyone to believe them about anything at all with that track-record boggles the sane mind.

Didn't some "scientists" plant lynx hairs in a forest so that their study could find lynx hairs in the forests? IIRC, that got some forests labeled protected habitats.
