Well, isn't THIS interesting! Once again, the democrats are shown to be undermining a black candidate.
Let's review the record. The democrats:
1. Backed Nancy Pelosi for minority leader over Harold Ford, Jr.
2. Backed Terry McAuliffe over the former mayor of Atlanta for DNC chair
3. Recruited Fritz Mondale over a black Minnesota Supreme Court judge to run against Norm Coleman after Wellstone died
4. Diverted money from the New York democrat gubernatorial candidate (who was black) in order to attempt to beat Jeb Bush
If the Republicans had behaved like this they would have cried "racism." Now we see that they were undermining Nagin, who at least has the decency to thank the President, unlike Mary Landrieu who does nothing but complain.
I certainly wish the black voters would get a clue about how they are being used.

You know, that is really right on the head. Should the black community suddenly sprout a host of business entrepreneurs, Ph.D.-level researchers and top level professionals (if you think it can't be done just review what the first generation of Jews, Chinese and Japanese did in this country and what their descendents do now), the 'rats would have no use for them. It is in the 'rats' best interest to keep groups dependent and weak and--whether intentional or not--they have done a good job of it.
