Michael Daly might want to stay well away from Montana. He'd have a seizure.

This story was written by Michael Daly. Not to be confused with a actual thinking person. No, Michael is a journalist which means he has no working brain at all. Just a brain stem that controls involuntary bodily functions.
This story appears to be a uncontrolled emission from the lower part of his body.

you should see the picture on the front page of the Daily News today. Shows a toddler holding a pistol like it's a toy. Has the response pretty much built into it.
sort of got me fed up with the propaganda machine once and for all.

I should have gone to the NRA Convention when it was in Houston last year...:-(
Oh, my pistol is in its holster on the floor next to my computer desk and it hasn't jumped up yet to attack anyone today.

... behold thousands of weapons, many of them handguns that have no real purpose other than to kill people and are produced in far greater numbers than the legitimate demand. Wow! This Michael Daly not only shows his complete ignorance of guns, but of economics! If the production of guns is "far greater" than the demand, then sales would slump, inventories would go up, and the price would drop... Oh, he said "legitimate demand..." So, what exactly is this "legitimate demand" that he babbles on about? My guess is "legitimate demand == NONE!"

Ah, lefties! Not man enough to handle a gun so he wants to ruin everybody else's fun.

....thousands of weapons, many of them handguns that have no real purpose other than to kill people Handguns are purchased for a variety of "purposes": -- collecting/investment, hunting, target shooting, and self/family defense. But all Daly's tunnel vision will allow him to see is guns being used by criminals. I think I'll email him a link to the "armed citizen" keyword section on FR.

The moment was all the more jarring for a New Yorker because the mother seemed to be as decent and amiable a person as you could ever meet. Terry Carlson of rural Wisconsin seemed just as pleasant as he pushed his 4-year-old daughter, Emily, in a stroller past a row of Taurus automatics.
This is a perfect example of the "disconnect" that the leftists have for most of the people in this country. He simply can't believe that someone could seem to be decent or pleasant, and hold views different from his own. Notice however, how he used modifiers... "seems to be as decent and amiable a person as you could ever meet," or "seemed just as pleasant." The meaning is obvious... These people simply can't be decent, amiable, not pleasant if they hold different views. It must all be some sort of a show put on. The disdain shown here is truely enlightening.

Here, let me fix that for him: many of them handguns which serve the purpose of protecting law abiding citizens against muderers thugs and rapists.
There, that's better.

The Glock booth was selling T-shirts that had an oversized picture of the Glock 17, the same model 9-mm. automatic pistol that killed NYPD Detective Dillon Stewart in Brooklyn last year."Isn't the standard issue handgun of the NYPD a Glock as well? I wonder why he doesn't mention that? And what exactly is an "oversized picture?"

Being as most of us have two hands, we need twice as many handguns as people, so much for overproduction.

I sent Mr. Daly a pleasant (No! Really!) email explaining firearms and their place in American society. It probably won't change his mind, but he'll have to go to the split second of effort to delete it.
I'll post any response I get if it's as intemperate as I would expect.

LOL...Sissy Boy Daley was having the vapors watching real Americans have fun at the NRA convention. He can thank fathers, mothers, and grandparents for passing along shooting know-how to the next generation. That's how we keep our freedom, so that Sissy Boy can write his little articles. May the NRA's numbers increase. And isn't it odd how all these shooting atrocities he mentioned occur in NYC, where no guns are allowed? Outlawing guns must not be working out too well there in spite of Bloomberg and the other liberals being in charge.

"That one's a little big for you," the mom said playfully. "We don't want you to get a .40 yet." The moment was all the more jarring for a New Yorker because the mother seemed to be as decent and amiable a person as you could ever meet. LOL. Who could have guessed she is such a monster. Run for your lives.

Well at least he had his prejudicial agenda laid out before arriving. All he had to do was note certain manufacturers locations on the convention floor. Then act like it was an article.

He was killed by a pistol? As I understood it, he was killed by a criminal who had no more respect for the officer's life than he had for the traffic laws that the officer was trying to enforce. For that matter, he did not have much respect for New York's gun control laws either. Which is to say nothing about the laws prohibiting murder.
Being a Liberal means you get to factor out the criminal who refuses to be regulated and just focus the blame on an inanimate object, like a gun. It is similar to when SUVs go bad; there is never a driver involved - at least from what you read.

many of them handguns that have no real purpose other than to kill people and are produced in far greater numbers than the legitimate demand. Because we all know that those pink-handled pistols are very popular with the Bloods and the Crips and the Latin Kings and MS-13. Yep, NYPD is forever catching the gang-bangers with those things.
