Isn't it sad that our Founding Fathers debated how best to protect our liberty, while here we are being told that the only choice is how fast to lose it?
I have no animosity for any freedom loving people trying to better their lot in life. That is a moral and noble ambition.
On the hand, I have a serious problem with the current crop of politicians that think Americans should be anything but Americans. And I define "American" in terms of extremely limited government and individual empowerment. If you don't believe in that stuff, whether by word or deed, then you are not an American. The Founding Fathers would be spinning in their graves if they saw what passes as the "proper" American attitude today.
A pox on both Democrats and Republicans. They would sell us out for a bad nickel. Yes, there are a few good ones, but the whole establishment reeks of disease and decay. Any benefits I have seen have been purely coincidental, calculated to buy my vote. My ancestors have been here for 300 years, and this is not the country they thought they were leaving me.
