Very true. Anyone who thought he was a conservative and has been surprised by his recent actions was not paying attention to his stances and actions and words as governor or first-term.
Precisely.
What I find particularly telling about the Bushbot contingent is that if a dissenter posts publicly, he's called a backstabber...but if he tries to engage in FReepmail discussion, he's told to take it public.
Thank you for your service and support, and your family members' as well. :-)
Not so.. Churchill saved England with the help of the United States.. you know as an agent of the United States.. England WAS LOST to Germany.. The United States SAVED IT.. England did NOT save themselves..
Like Canada is under the military umbrella of the United States.. therefore a military parasite.. allowing Canadas socialism.. which would be too expensive if Canada had to guard themselves..
England was and still is a military parasite of the United States too.. although a grateful one, unlike Canada..
Yep. No matter how much damage his decisions may do to the U.S. he sticks to them.
I will ask you a two question that should occur to anyone with even a modicum of historical knowledge. Do you prefer Sherrod Brown over Dewine? Do you prefer Eric D. Fingerhut over George Voinovich? Fingerhut wanted to increase taxes and implement much more stringent anti pollution laws. His proposals would have doubled or tripled electricity and gasoline costs from their present level. If you like $7.00 gasoline you would have loved Fingerhut. Sherrod strongly believes a Fairness doctrine is needed to bring the right wing under control.
Your answer to that is don't support people whith whose views you disagree. Your real answer is you support people whose views you disagree with even more than Dewine and Voinvich.
The Question we are really trying to resolve is how do we get our elected officials to be more conservative.
You take the position of a spoiled little kid. You want to go to the mall and play video games. Mom and Dad say no. So you respond by bursting into tears, screaming invective and running to your room and locking the door.
Has that strategy ever worked for any kid except the ones who have dysfunctional parents?
What would a bit brighter kid do. He would respond to the parental refusal by cleaning his room to spotless condition. On top of that he would mow the lawn and wash Mom and Dad's cars. If it were a girl child she might do the laundry and ironing and put all the dishes away. Then the child would ask again if it is ok to go to the mall to play video games? What are the odds MOM and DAD say NO????
Dealing with politicians is much the same. If you give the politician what he wants (which is always enough votes to win the election) that politic an will grant every one of your wishes that he possibly can.
That politician will turn down people who do a lot less for him to do the will of those who put him in office.
What you propose to do makes about as much sense as refusing to pay attention in class as a means of getting even with your teacher.
Such an act will not cause the teacher to do what you want ... it will at best get you massive detention.
You need to read the book titled, "How to Win Friends and Influence People." You have been reading that book titled "How to Lose Friends and Tick People Off."
Like the kid that screams at his parents and runs to his room, your strategy never gets you what you want. It does allow you to feel sorry for your self.
Mean while the bright kid is playing video games at the mall and telling friends how easy it is to manipulate parents.
Ohio is full of RINO supporters.
I don't agree with that statement, at all, but I'm not going to argue with you.....
That's fair...
Wow!!!!! Put the spike laden baseball bat down for one second, please!
Nowhere on this thread did I ever say I did not support my husband or the war on terror. I am a vicious supporter of my husband, his mission, and the war on terror. Where in the world did you get that?
Just because I don't think Bush is doing a very good job doesn't mean I am a bad military wife who stands by Cindy Sheehan (wow!!! what a stretch THAT comment was!!)
BTW, my husband is in the reserves, not active. He's been in for 21 years. He has had two deployments. He is still in and I still support him as I always have.
When reservists get activated to duty overseas its a very different experience for the reservist family. We reservists have little or no support structure in place at every level. We endure continued and relentless attacks from active duty military wives who continue to turn their noses up at us and have nothing but venomous things to say about us and our citizen soldiers (i.e. the b*stard stepchildren of the Army). We lose our spouses entire civilian income from the deployment. Some have no job to go back to, and several soldiers in my husbands unit have lost their entire business and livelihood.
There is an extra layer of difficulty reservist families have to go through that most active families have never experienced and have no concept of (unless they were ever deployed as a reservist) which I failed to point out earlier.
That said, you may now pick your baseball bat back up. I expect you to.
Is this what you do every time you cant change someones mind on a discussion thread? This is getting rather silly now. Why do you persist on calling in the armies to attack me.
All I said was I feel stabbed in the back by Bush, and I still do!!!
Nothing you say or your friends say will change any of that!
Oy Vey, already!!
bump.
Most of the support for DeWhiner and Voinovich comes from Cuyahoga County (a socialist hellhole, i.e. People's Republic of Cleveland and surrounding serfdoms), the rest of the state is quite conservative. In fact, it was South West Ohio that won it all for Bush with the help of Ohio Secretary of State (who kept it honest).
Blackwell is a genuine conservative whom the GOP establishment tried to derail in the recent GOP governorship primary in Ohio. DeWine et al are part of the Ohio RINO GOP who do not want someone like Blackwell as Governor. As a side note, in his first successful run for the US Senate, Voinovich got more campaign funds from out of his home state of Ohio than any Senator in US history; including more than McCain. Both DeWine and Voinovich are bought and paid for political whores.
What on earth are you talking about?
People go to whatever thread they want to and post and respond. This is a great article with a great title, so people are interested.
As people come to the thread, the 2nd post is yours, and it says: "I'd like to but I feel so stabbed in the back right now. :(".
Of course, people respond to that. What did you expect?
President Bush has done a great deal, including most likly having saved many thousands, if not millions of our lives, by foiling terrorist attacks, including possibly ones with WMD. He IS the world's greatest hope in defeating the terrorists and avoiding world catastrophy.
And at a thread like that, you immediately post an unwarranted attack on President Bush, as the 2nd post.
You provoke people, than you don't like it, when they respond to your provocation.
Funny article title...and very appropriate...
Bush the Globalist is the worlds best hope...and one of Americas worst...
Bush is like all of the elites...he hates America..
I was talking about your ping to post 46, specifically, (the attack on me) not the article. That guy was way off base. Maybe you meant to ping the article instead?
Anyway, one great lesson I have learned is never to be the first person to post a dissenting view, no matter how small or vague because everyone sees it at the top, and the fur really starts flying! D'oh!!
So do I, as do many, may others... the vitriol gets a little old, though. I love the way they try to keep us on the plantation. Not with optimism and hope, but name calling, rhetorical fallacies and venom. I don't think I have had so many words put in my mouth before... ever. So don't feel so alone. It's sad to see people such as these on "our side", as I thought we had the philosophy of the enlightened and the intelligent on our side.
Lately, all I see are the legions of the preprogrammed. Sad.

Yes, national security, judicial, border, jobs, defense of marriage, Cornyn is one of those that could carry the conservative torch forward. Fear McCain.
