Just in case anyone thought I was exaggerating Leopold's credentials, here is one version of his (oft-edited) write-up in Wikipedia:

Mr. Leopold had written a book entitled Off the Record. The book’s release was permanently cancelled, however, following legal threats from one of the subjects of the book. In that book, Mr. Leopold planned to reveal many secrets of his life as a journalist such as a prior drug addiction, bouts with mental illness and suicide attempts, breaking journalistic rules, and lying to employers about a criminal conviction.

I think all traces of Pitt were probably expunged when JimRob took a toilet brush to the danker regions of the FR membership database some time ago. He was just as pretentious and unhinged then as he is now.

I may be one of the few FReepers who actually got a kick out of Ash - we exchanged some private correspondence between bannings. I'd have to read some of Mark Ash's stuff to be sure, but the multiple Ash incarnations did all contain a very distinctive dialectical style that's pretty easy to recognize. Sharp fellow and a bit of a joker. He should have used his powers for the forces of good... ;-)
