You mean like Bill Clinton with family values and a better looking wife?... Bill also rode rough over his base.. Bush is almost the flip side of Bill Clinton.. Clinton from any side is a sidwinder.. Could be Bush is too.. No he is.. I trust neither of them.. Show me... and they both have..

I truly think the comparison is unfair. Bush brought this nation back from despair after 9-11 with his invasion of Afghanistan---Clinton set up 9-11, and allowed wholesale transfer of some of our most valuable nuclear and missile secrets to the Chinese. They are not the same.
True.. but Clinton didn't setup us in the Cuckoos nest.. You know about the Cuckoo bird don't you.. The Undocumented Insurgents are just that.. insurgents.. Third world values with third world appetites.. Socialism is first appreciated then expected.. i.e. they are NOT Cubans..
Bush is EITHER stupid or really really intelligent with maleficent intent.. I say he is not stupid.. but knows PRECISLY what hes doing.. I am; jumping the gun, but much is at stake.. If hes not a malefactor I will apologize later.. I don't trust him any farther than I can spit..
No, I missed it! I would have lovedto hear McPain get smacked down by Sessions!
I don't think he'll make it to the WH. He did piss off a lot of the left with his support of the war, and he's alienated too many conservatives (as well as AZ) with his liberal antics .
I predict he will be the next slap-down poster child by the Swift Boats, and the other retired Vets if he dares campaign.
Oh, I have no doubt the swifties are lying in the bushes waiting for him to throw his oar in the water.

Start at post 1680 and read forward from there, very entertaining if your stomach can take it.
I wished I had CSPAN on at the time, just to see the look on McPain's face! LOL

Well, wouldn't you agree that Bush responded well after 9-11, invading Afghanistan, invading Iraq? He put Goss into the CIA who ran the first real cleanup they ever had. he gave us two conservative Supreme Court judges (albeit with some prodding on the second).
He's wrong on immigration---dead wrong completely wrong, he'll never change and he's on a course that will---if he gets his way---apparently destroy the country. Bush is neither extremely bright nor extremely stupid. The key thing is, he's gone off the rails here and we just have to fight him as hard as we can.
Me too. BTW did you catch his expression when the college students all started booing him at the commencement address? He was so used to taking the college tours with Chris Matthews and having hand picked, adoring, fans ask questions, this must have been quite an experience for him.
Didn't Tony Blair put England in the EU without really asking the English Citizens if they WANTED to be in it? Didn't that start in a benign manner by saying we are going to have one currency to make travel easier between countries -- and then snowballed from there?
I have friends in Canada, but I don't want to share a world government with Canada -- or Mexico -- or Nicaragua, etc..
I agree with that more or less.. But I think he is smarter than that..
All the things you mention are chump change(hard to say) but they are WHEN voter demographics are conserned.. Change the voting demographics of a country and you change THE COUNTRY.. "They" will then vote into existence THEMSELVES all the malfeance "others"(democrats) tried to foist on them by hook or crook.. The war(s), the tax cuts, and ANY other thing holding conservative value ARE A DIVERSION from that.. THAT!, being, changing the voting demographics of the country.. Prime requiste; changing the voting demographics.."LET THEM"(conservatives) have ANYTHING else but the prime requiste is the PLAN..
Supposition: Bush(advisors, minions, cabal) is not as stupid as you think he/they is/are.. Brilliantly executed too.. Pure genious.. ALL eyes are on the War(s) i.e. terrorists.. port deal fiasco, Queer marriage, etc, there will be other diversions too.. BUT the illegals and legals (Undocumented insurgents) are "the PLAN".. to change the very voting demographics of the country.. They WILL be democrats you know..
OH! by the way democrats are NOT for making America a socialist country.. THEY are for making America a STATE in the World Socialist Republic.. as are most in URP, China, Russia and increasingly South America.. The worlds socialists have ALWAYS longed for that.. America is the ONLY holdout.. The Mexican Border is the means.. currently and George Bush is the point man..
Didn't see it, but I heard it on the radio.
All I could picture was a huge red tomato (his face) about ready to explode.
Uh Jim....the 103 million that Rector is talking about include immigrants from all over the world not just Mexico.
Glad to hear this - have been thinking for years how much better off all of Europe would have been if they had encouraged Mexican immigrants instead of muzzies.
Western, nominally Christian, pick up many of the European languages easily.
We look at George Bush differently but we agree on the same need for action on the border issue. That is what counts. We will be going through two+ years of Bush anyway with no elections (and I don't believe any impeachments).
"I think the obvious lies before us all -- and most have been ignoring it for the past 20 years -- a North American version of the EU...."
Yes the possibility is there but we have not lost the fight yet---not by a longshot.
LoL.. Yeah like the democrats want to impeach Bush.. its all talk.. He is their secret weapon.. -OR- they are HIS..
It has to do with additional quirks in current immigration law that will serve to bring in the RELATIVES (Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, sons, daughters, aunts and uncles) of each primary immigrant.
I am waiting on someone to ask Congress to eliminate the FAMILY REUNIFICATION provisions so that this factor is eliminated.
Still, allowing the 12 million to stay would amount to allowing in the single, largest block of immigrants from a single nation ever allowed into the US.
I don't see why we should do that when the hundreds of nations in this world hav so many more highly trained and educated people that would be of great benefit to this country.
You do realize, of course, that letting in this many Mexican nationals will result in a need to clamp down on all other immigration quotas for many years into the future.
It gets down to rank, raw racism to give preference to a single nationality. Mexicans deserve no greater consideration for immigration than folks from South Africa, Mozambiue, New Zealand, Australia, Maylaysia, Philippines, Thailand, India or Sri Lanka, nor do they deserve less consideration than others.
There should be one line available for immigration.
Seemed to me "W" was referring to folks turned back at the border. That's not exactly the same as "deportation", nor is it "overstaying a visa".
I can get 12 million Chinese for you "wholesale" and undercut the Mexicans in the fields if you want.
