Imus was saying that Will was now banned from his show over some letter he sent him. Does anyone know what this is about?
*************
Another attempt by Imus to shore up ratings for his irrelevant show?
Possibly, but he sounded pi**ed and I always like a bit of juicy gossip.
Irrelevancy bans banality! The war of insipidness trudges on!
"Imus was saying..."
How did you know what he was saying? I've tried to listen to the man but he sounds like a he's talking through a mouthful of pebbles and dirt.
I still can't understand him. Maybe his hat's too tight, or his ego is waayyyy tooo big.
Purely recreational. Will is sort of a prig and Imus is sort of an ass, so it's sort of like wanting to hear about a cat fight.
Imus has banned others as well. He relents once he gets a check or promo for the ranch. I think his good buds, John Kerry and Bill Richardson have been in and out of banning status. For while he was banning anyone who published with a certain NY publisher who had dissed him. That changed once he realized he could not on all his liberal friends hawkingtheir anti-Bush books. He even has brought back several plagerists once they have spent a few days banned. When was the last time Will was on the show anyway?
Imus is a walking poster child for what cocaine addiction does to your brain.
Will's audience has been leaving too... could be a joint effort for attention.
I hope it was a letter telling Imus to stop putting the two fat comedians on for half of his show. I remember the first time I saw one of them dressed as Dr. Phil. I got a chuckle. That was about 75 iterations ago. And the other guy ripping off of Larry the Cable Guy or dressed as Jerry Falwell was NEVER funny.
I actually liked the show (though I would agree it was never quite relevant) for a long time, but now it is just tedious. Unfortunately, Fox and Friends is obnoxious as well. I guess I'll just have to put my suit on to music in the morning...
Imus once said something about Howie Carr's wife. Alan Deschewitz made Imus very sorry.
Imus is the only guy I know who wears a cowboy hat and women's panties.
*************
Sorry. I was once a listener, but the wife and baby talk finally turned my stomach. Imus now just seems to me to be someone who should be sitting in a rocking chair on a porch somewhere. Somewhere well away from microphones.
The real question is: Why would anybody care?
Maybe Imus doesn't like the fact that Will wrote a column condemning John "Pay Attention to Me" McCain's statement on the Imus show that he (McCain) would rather have a "clean government" (i.e. one with McCain-Feingold restrictions on free speech) than one that respects the First Amendment.
See...McCain doesn't even contend that McCain-Feingold is within the bounds of the Constitution he took an oath to support.
I think Will was on his show within the last week, which is why I'm curious about this "ban."
Hell hath no fury...
I've heard Howie mention that, but he didn't give any details.Do you know what happened?
I assume that Howie doesn't give details because of some confidentiality agreement.

McCain and Imus in the same thread. How fitting.
