500 miles of vehicle barriers wont stop people walking across the border. What good is it?

I will tell you what good it will do. They will not be able to walk that far through the desert and survive. The land will become the barrier. This is a good thing.

It SOUNDS good. The coyotes, drug smugglers, and Mexican military (sometimes all one in the same) have vehicles capable of jut crossing elsewhere. And to pedestrian amigos, it isn't even an issue.

This is better than it sounds.

Much of southern AZ, NM and West Texas are extremely harsh. There is even a region called the Journey of Death (in Spanish of course) in southern NM.

There is no barrier, BP effort etc. that can stop the flow entirely but walls/fences/vehicle barriers used in the right areas will make a difference.

Obviously, we block the most easily travelled areas first.

My main concern is that they won't even do that much.
