The victory of conservatism won't come in my lifetime, but it's defeat could if we let it.
To: Pukin Dog
we should be letting them know that weve got their back, but if they cant do the job, we will replace them with ANOTHER Republican, instead of handing the reigns of government to the party of anger, hopelessness and despair. This is the bottom line. Exellent rant, Pukin; too bad it's so necessary on FR.

It is never too late. November is a long way away. When Lincoln gave that speech, a lot of people though it was too late back then. Today, we are the greatest nation in the history of the world.

Thank you. You are exactly right.
The attack on Laura Bush made me realize I have been too quiet while the trolls took over. I will no longer be silent and let those threads go on and on with their mindless, unopposed degradation of everyone in this administration.
I will henceforth be engaging and refuting lies, as well as paying attention to comments which bring dishonor to this site.
Thanks for the post, and thanks for inspriting me to get involved again!

I ask you to treat him and his wife with respect and cut the personal attacks. I agree they ought to be regarded with general respect; but this would be a much easier request if they, in turn, spoke & acted respectfully toward us.

Thanks for the rant - a bunch of supposed freepers have benn causing me no end of distress in their willingness to jump out of the pan and back into the fire. It would seem that many of them are suffering the same amnesia that the average Dim/MSM suffers when established facts become inconvenient.
God Bless

Without Democrats and the MSM, Al-Queda is a pin-prick. If our media were reporting on our success in Iraq, those bastards would have no place to run, no place to hide. With Democrats leaking to the MSM, they provide cover to those rats. THEY ARE THE ENEMY.

All good points. What we see happening is not unique to George Bush, I have known lots of republicans who helped put in ultra liberals at all levels, because by staying home they were going to teach the republicans to be more conservative. In every case I have followed, the republicans have never gotten the seat back and the liberals now have it locked up.
The only solution is to elect additional conservatives to Congress. We can't have a democrat president, for the good of the nation. Republican presidents will remain conservative in general. The House already is doing a good job.
I submit the obvious. The RINOsin the Senate have made a disgrace of the republican majority in many cases (not all). We need additional conservative Senators. That should be the goal.

*I'm mailing a vicious (but professional) letter to Mel Martinez detailing his flip-flops on immigration (or lies on his resume). I can't believe this guy. I'm very unhappy with my Jr. Senator.

For those of us (and I believe there are many) on FR who are tired of the Bush-bashing, I think this thread is a good database to ping each other when we encounter it. I will do that.

I don't think that George Bush has attacked you personally, and I know for darn sure Laura hasn't. Unless you can show me a quote where either one of them called Sloth a traitor or said you were in the pay of some foreign organization, you don't have a leg to stand on.
