Ex-Military Intelligence chief Ze'evi warns of impending world jihad 'tsunami'

Former Military Intelligence chief Aharon Ze'evi warned Monday morning of an impending world jihad "tsunami" that he said may soon descend on the entire Middle East.

Ze'evi, speaking at a Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies conference in Tel Aviv University, said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinijad has been overheard promising the "end of history in two or three years."

Ze'evi recommended that the Iranian threats be taken seriously, saying that Tehran will soon have nuclear warhead compatible surface-to-surface missiles with a range of 5,000 kilometers, putting Europe within striking distance.

Ze'evi also warned that Israel should not rule out the possibility of a conventional war against Islamic militants.

Ze'evi said he foresees this war breaking out on Israel's northern frontier, against Syria and Hezbollah.

Emphasizing the radicalization of Islamic militancy, Ze'evi cited recent changes in the objectives of major militant organizations, which have recently begun targeting sites in Arab countries.

"We are seeing attacks carried out in Amman, Dahab and Sharm el-Sheikh," said Ze'evi.

He cited the increased accessibility of Internet in the Arab world as facilitating the process, saying, "Today, anyone who is interested can learn how to blow up a bomb."

Major General (Res.) Ze'evi stepped down as chief of Military Intelligence about four months ago, and was replaced by Major General Amos Yadlin.

As long as they all stay in the middle east and blow each other up - they are simply keeping the traditions of 6,000 years.

The reality of it is, it will NOT stay in the Mid-East. It is probably already here.

Pessimistic view of things, but realistic...unlike Jimmy Carter's latest rantings.

They are here! Your local Mosque can preach hate but let a Methodist church try that.

Bombing is already long past due. Iran needs to be economically and politically isolated. The regime there needs to have all forces in opposition to them backed, and the key infrastructure in C2, the hardware to build the nuke bombed to dust. Shut down their government, shut down their military, shut down their economy. Bomb them into the Stone Age. When people can’t eat, they begin thinking about different priorities, like: “where can I get food”? They need to be blasted with a massive IO campaign, movement of people; goods and ideas need to be blocked. We could make Iran implode and if it were not for a UN that itself wants to take no action. An EU that wants to take no action other than talk more; if it were not for bottom feeders like Russia who want to profit from the situation the issue surely already could have been solved possibly even through peaceful means. But since Iran operates under the concept that they can do whatever with complete impunity (And rightfully so one must add) the see everything said by the EU as irrelevant. They just have to occasionally throw the EU a bone. Even though they don’t really plan on changing in actions, they can diffuse the pressure just be occasionally ‘appearing” to be willing to compromise, which is good enough for appeasers who deep down inside are looking for excuses to justify their impotence on this matter.

There is no real pressure on Iran! For crying out loud, the EU can’t even grab its balls and decide to have an embargo against Iran! In reality Iran knows the EU lacks all courage to take any steps towards any military action and is even fearful of economic sanctions. Iran in fact is threatening “THEM” with rising oil costs and loss of trade revenue! After 3 years the EU has not even agreed to leverage any economic sanctions. They know they don’t want Iran with a nuke. They know Iran is a threat. They know Iran is an antagonist in that whole region. They lack the balls to do anything about it. The UN is an assembly of third world buffoons. Baboons who have their whores shacked up in ritzy hotels in NY and practice nepotism or have their kids making crooked deals as Kofi Annan’s own son has. The UN is a circus or better yet: clown show. The UN will always give the same answer. “Well, we found evidence that they have violated 35 terms of the UN mandate, that they violated the armistice of 1991, which included shooting at US planes in the declared no fly zones for Iraq.” But under no situation did the UN EVER want to show that there was any cause for action on Iraq. The UN reference Iran will be no different. The UN failed in the Balkans as well as in Rwanda as in Haiti, as in Sudan. They are a joke. The UN is a stage on which Tin Pot regimes and their dictators have the worlds attention, where they can wear suits and pretend to be civilized, such as the government of Sudan which in it’s backyard is supporting the destruction of non-believers (AKA infidels) or Nigeria etc. The UN is a bunch of baboons in expensive suits.

Procrastination equates to allowing this to happen. No talk will deter Iran’s ambitions. Iran is a hostile nation towards anyone who is not Islamic. Iran is a belligerent bent on spreading the “Islamic revolution” (Started by Khomeini) to where ever they can. Allowing them to acquire nuclear weapons, ignoring their involvement with Hamas and Hezbollah, their meddling in Iraq is no less than irresponsible. It’s time for action.

“A little less talk, a little more action” – is required here.

"...Ze'evi cited recent changes in the objectives of major militant organizations, which have recently begun targeting sites in Arab countries. "

The extreme Islamic militants want to take over the more moderate Islamic nations and turn them all violently against both Israel and America.

If we are careful, we may be able to get these non-radical Moslem regimes to do some of the fighting for us. If we are successful, this could turn into an inter-Islam conflict in the same way that the Reformation/Counter-Reformation was internal to Christianity.

Divide and conquer. We need to divide them before they divide us.
