Thousands of illegal immigrants cross the U.S-Mexico border into Arizona every day.
To better yourself, for your family, and for a better life, says Alfonso Miramontez, whos from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, a town that's about an 8-hour bus ride from Nogales.
Miramontez says, once he heard the U.S. might be sending National Guard troops to the border, he immediately headed north, and was planning to illegally cross into Arizona Monday night.
Itll now be much harder to cross through the desert," says Miramontez, but the Army (National Guard) on the border wont stop me.
Like Miramontez, Eduardo Reyes, an immigrant from Mexico City, just arrived to the border town of Nogales, Sonora with the intention, of crossing into Arizona and finding work in the United States, says Reyes.
Miramontez says, Its bad in Mexico. Its also hard because the U.S. soldiers are fighting wars in other countries, and now, many are going to be along the border. When I cross, it scares me and makes me think twice.
Miramontez adds, I just want to be happy, and Ill try to work in the U.S., no matter what happens.
Your post is dead on. I'll be suprised if they will be issued ammo too.
Funny you should mention crocodiles with bad attitudes. Here's what 2 verses say about the croc.
Job 41:33 Upon earth there is not [the crocodile's] equal, a creature made without fear and he behaves fearlessly.
Job 41:34 He looks all mighty [beasts of prey] in the face [without terror]; he is monarch over all the sons of pride.
and that's at best the Nile Croc.
One look at those teeth and the illegals would be breaking the sound barrier heading for the Mexican southern border.
That's a mean looking critter. Makes our rattlesnakes look like gentle pets.
And here's what the Good Book Says abot them
Job 41:33 Upon earth there is not [the crocodile's] equal, a creature made without fear and he behaves fearlessly.
Job 41:34 He looks all mighty [beasts of prey] in the face [without terror]; he is monarch over all the sons of pride.
I guess it's fortunate that most of them don't speak English. Yesterday's Bush speech was just dripping with weakness and fear of dealing with the invasion.
Lt. Gen. Blum was on Medved today. He said basically the guard will be doing their required trainings along the Southern border. He also refuted the 1 year. He said they will be there as long as they are needed.
He's right, they won't stop him. The NG troops will be there only as spotters. Allegedly, if they see illegals trying to cross the border they will call the Border Patrol agents in to deal with them. In other words, they will be stationed on the border largely as window dressing to deceive the American people into believing that President Bush is taking serious action.
He's supposed to be President of the United States, but he apparently views himself as President of the Americas, where American citizens are just a small part of a greater whole.
Post of the year. Excellent, well put.
Just another reason to NOT live in Arizona!
I said educate me and you have. I always thought Alligators were the worst.
I was going for a swim but I think I'll give it a miss tonight.
Securing the border stops the flow.
I just think that is the first order of business. THEN deal with the issues.
My suspicion is that these supposed 6,000 national guard troops will be like Clinton's 100,000 more police officers. A nice sound bite that (bites) never turns into reality.
And what do we have to base that on? Congress already authorized him to spend way more on border control than he has spent, to hire more agents than he has.
Like Clinton, he put his finger up in the air, saw he needed to do something and came up with this lame excuse for border security.
The interview I heard with him today made me know he does not even believe in what he proposed. He was hedging and hawing. When he believes something, he is fluid and convincing.
I never thought I would have such harsh words for our president.
Why doesn't everyone just settle down and wait for a few days to see what's going to happen instead of all second guessing like a bunch of MSM reporters. What we end up with will probably be nothing like what President Bush proposed last night.
More proof that Jihad Janet is selling the citizens of Arizona down the river.AWB
Once upon a time the government had a scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said," Someone may steal it at night."So they created a night watchman position and hired a person at $18,000.00 a year for the job.
Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people -- one person to write the instructions for $22,000.00 and one person to do time studies for an additional $22,000.00 per year.
Then congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a quality control department and hired two people. One was to do the studies for $31,000.00 and one to write the reports for an additional $31,000,00 per year.
Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So they created the following positions:
a time keeper for a $35,000.00 annual salary and a payroll officer for an additional $35,000.00
Then they created a n administrative section and hired three more people -- an Administrative Officer at $155,000.00 per year, an Assistant Administrative Officer at $125,000.00 and a Legal Secretary at $100,000.00 per year.
Then Congress said, "We have had this operating for one year with a budget cost of 574,000.00 and we are $18,000.00 over budget. We must cut back costs."
SO THEY LAID OFF THE NIGHT WATCHMAN !!
Excellent post. Our "leaders" are surrendering our country without a fight.
