Same here in Pittsburgh. It's not like snow is a once every 10 years occurrence. One snowflake and everyone panics. Drivers are never prepared. You would think that by, say, November, drivers around here would be ready with snow tires or whatever. Nope. First snowfall and every garage is packed with people trying to get their new tires put on.
And my other peeve -- slowing down or actually stopping before entering a tunnel. True Pittsburghers feel they have to do this every time they approach a tunnel. I don't know what they're afraid of. We've had so many rear end collisions from some yokel coming to a sudden dead stop right in front of a tunnel.
