"Journalists began seeing themselves as an instrument of social change"!
Go ahead and be sentimental, Clint.......I've missed everyone too!
Thanks for the ping. I have set my vcr so I don't miss it!! Have a meeting at 12:30!!
I've also had some semi-bad experience with RealPlayer. Two computers before the one I'm using now didn't like it, but I'm not enough of a geek to know exactly why. I try to use windows player as much as possible now, and no problems.
I intend to check that out. I understand that the player doesn't always embed well, but prefers a link to a .rm file.
For the stream in question, I believe the link is:
http://play.rbn.com/cspan/g2cspan/live/cspan1-g2.rm
Hey PTD! Haven't seen you around the Levin Lounge lately. Doing payroll every DAY? lol
I just opened that RM link in my MPC and it works fine. (Note that that link is for CSPAN 1)
===
Also, the MS Player links work in MPC.
You can save them under 'favorites', so they are always available for future opening.
Perfect.
Thank you, dina. You're the best.
Maybe a few exceptions!! ;>)
Good afternoon, Dinasour...Beautiful thread...Hope the briefing is as good! THanks for the ping.

I second that. I have Real Player pre-installed on one of my XP computers and it seems to be ok, but I have heard so many stories.
The problem is that there are no wmv replays of the Press Briefing that I am aware of.
Later, I'll check out the Real Alternative player noted above and see how well it works.
"For what it's worth, my wife and I both uninstalled "Real Player" because it seemed to be associated with some bad behavior in our computers."
I did, rely exclusively on WMP.
This presser is perfect timing. I need it soooooooooooooooo bad. Snowflakes are golden.
Prayers for Tony.
President is on live now speaking with Howard form Australia
Woof:)
The biggest problem with RealPlayer is Real's own doing...the software is too damn invasive, and tries to basically take over everything multi-media related with unnecessary toolbars, a "download manager", a "jukebox", etc.

We made it past the first real one, so I guess we're over the hump.
Geting more and more new SnowFlakes. I wonder how long will take me before I have a bigger pinger than PJ-Comix
Don't forget the VP of that outfit before she went to the Senate was Maria Can't-VOte-Very-Well.
Hi Fudd!
LOL! Seems like it's been Payroll everyday! Just been pretty swamped, but will try to pop into the Lounge!! ;>)
How was your vacation??
