Yep. My first job was 55 hours a week weeding a vineyard when I was 14. I spent the summer in the 100 degree heat outworking the Mexican labor crew in the field next door. American worker can and will do this work - if we end welfare.
I had friends in college in the mid-1980's who earned their tuition doing bent-back strawberry picking in the summertime; every last one of them as white as William Wallace's Hibernian arse.
