Baloney. Address border security first. Prove you can secure the border and enforce current laws before you get the chance to even try a new plan. A plan that would fail if you won't secure the border.
That line shows that he is playing us. If he really intended to actually secure the border then he wouldn't mind letting the enforcement get in place first.
By tying them together, he can get the guest worker program and then just keep saying that he is trying to secure the border and to just give him more time.
I totally agree with that. I don't know why so many think it has to be both. I want to see a secure border before I see any plan to deal with illegals here now. If the border is secure first then there would be more room for coompromise on what to do with those here.
