Palladin, I should write "oh give me a break!" but you just made a good point.

We are not France, Sweden or Holland. We do not have their problems. They are not honorably fighting in Afghanistan, looking for terrorists, nor will you find them on rescue missions anywhere else in the world.

They are not in Iraq.

Sweden has a population of 9 million people, the same number of people as Los Angeles County, California.

Socialism is endemic in Sweden, it's in their guaranteed income for employees when laid off, it's in their health care system, their very existence depends on the blatherings of Karl Marx. Swedes live, eat and breathe Socialism.

Sweden did not suffer a Pearl Harbor, they did not suffer a September 11, 2001, Sweden didn't take men to Germany to rid that country of the Nazis, Sweden didn't rescue France in World War II, Sweden stood by shuddering in fear of their big bad bear neighbor and waited for the USA and Allies to do the heavy lifting.

Sweden is about Sweden and Sweden lives a tentative existence in the world community because Sweden has no huevos, man.

So what, you're going to say that it's a matter of size then? Hardly.

Poland is also a small-sized country but Poland has stood up and has been counted to the world. Poland is standing up now to the European Union because Poles have what Swedes lack. The Polish people are smart, they were the first invaded by the evil Nazis and then the Poles fought hard against the Nazis throughout the war. Polish people have courage, they're tough and Polish people have one heckuva sense of humor. Poles pay their own dues.

But Sweden has chosen to bend in the direction of any foul wind.

Nope, Palladin, the USA is no France, Sweden or Netherlands and there's no chance we will ever be no matter how many times it's shouted, no matter how many so-called conservatives claim betrayal by our very honest and extremely hard-working President Bush.

Good rebuttal.

Hope you are right, for the sake of my grandchildren.

the USA is no France

If the Muslims take over France, we will be the first country they nuke. And then we will be over there AGAIN, saving the French!
