I agree 100%. I mean, I've bene railing against Bush unmercifully here, in public, with people I know, etc, about Bush's total lack of any kind of spine to secure the border of get rid of illegals. And tonight, I was stunned by this speach. He said 90% or more of the things that real conservatives like Tencredo and Limbaugh have been saying should be done to secure the border, and now tonight all these silly ridiculous people are ripping Bush apart and talking about how this speech finished off the conservative majority in November. That just defies logic, since the things Bush said have massive popular support in the American public, and are opposed only be illegals and liberals. It's pretty simple. Conservatives, REAL conservative have called for what Bush said tonight, liberals have long opposed it all. Those here tonight all over Bush are either DU trolls or liberals or both. I cannot see how any real conservative can be bent out of shape by this speach. It's silly. But then, any lib can post and say they're a conservative. We'll see how November turns out. If this is the tack the conservatives are going to take the next few months, I wouldn't want to be a democrat right now after this speach. They have to oppose it and all he said in it, and that will put the democrats in the way of what a clear majority of Americans want.

I couldn't agree with you more. President Bush heaved a fastball at the Dems, and they will swing and miss.

We all should vote Republican in Nov. Too much is at risk not to do so. Judges, our votes all come down to that thought.

Your excellent post #2164 talks about human nature. When someone is biased about someone they do not listen. They will find something; even if it means looking under rocks for criticism. Those who spend their time Bush Bashing are spending lots of energy on answers they should have already heard. And, they need to spend more time coming up with solutions. If the solution is a good one, it will be get more consideration than negativity.

Everything President Bush has said tonight showed outstanding analysis of the situation. It revealed that the solution will require a comprehensive plan where all parts must be implemented. However, the solutions that he outlined are not pie in the sky wishful thinking. They are do-able. And the nay-sayers will not hear anything of that.

I have been suspecting the DU factor creating havoc at the FR for a long time.
