I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.

You prove my point. There is not one word about enforcing the law, even current law, in that paragraph. I found that to be a glaring omission as I listened to the speech.If you found that to be satisfying then more power to you. I don't and I doubt that many of the rest of us "borderbots" will either.

Criminality exists EVERYWHERE! Broad, sweeping, tar everyone without any thought statements don't cut it and make the poster look the fool. Even Tancredo had workman who were ILLEGALS. Many say that he didn't know; well, that's NO excuse! I've never had an illegal do any work for me; not a one.

Go stick the shoe on Tancredo and neither make nor agree with such broad brush statements in the future.

A fifth column is within a group, not without. The fifth column within the Republican Party are the RINO's, that are not true conservative Republicans because they lack concrete principles on certain basic tenets of conservatism, which the Republican Party used to represent. Now it is watered down by RINO's who think that being a RINO is the norm within the party, and those that aren't are the odd men out. The exact reverse is true. Israel has also had to deal with a level of violence that even with 9-11, America hasn't had to endure. Tell me this, how many years after the first homocide bomber from the Palestinian areas killed Israeli's did they build the walls? It was decades. And they are a much smaller area than the U.S. border is. It's not a fair comparrison at all, and I say that as someone that is all for a large tall wall on the border. The Canadian one too for that matter. But it's apples and oranges and quite simplistic at that.

By the time they get their 20 million in, they will bring another 15 million, total: 35 million. Bush is a disaster. It won't work if it's half-baked. He's refried the beans, that's what his plan is doin'. He refried the same ol' line, but threw in the National Guard thing which is a short lived deployment with the design to refry some conservatives back into the bean pot. It won't work. And even if it was, what's your brilliant proposal to try and make it where people have a structure they have to obey to work in the country?

Well, I'd probably propose a visa program where foreigners could come in and work, legally...I'd probably create laws which would make it illegal to come into the country illegally...And I would probably make it illegal for employers to hire illegal aliens...And, I would enforce the laws...

I believe that should solve the problem...
