Good speech? A good job of putting lipstick on a pig- but it's still a pig!

It's not Bush's fault.

The Senate is the principal source of corruption and political weakness for America.

Conservatives need to work to change the senate which is much more difficult to change than the House.

They cost us more than they contribute to this country. They're a drain on us.

"Not for amnesty = no new taxes"

I believe he is his father's son. I have thought about that alot. My biggest problem with W was his naivete. He came to Washington foolishly thinking he could win over his enemies who hated him viciously and therefore we have the terrible Education Bill he passed with Teddy Kennedy. Now again to my embarrassment operatives like Charlie Black and Tori Clark are shamefully mentioning Teddy Kennedy's name in moving forward this amnesty. W's father foolishly thought that pleasing his Washington enemies by breaking his no new taxes pledges was somehow noble. And W now finds himself in a position which is opposed to very loyal Republicans in the House and aligned with bunch electorally unaccountable egomaniacs Senators who would ridicule W and knife him the back at the drop of a hat. Son like father finds himself aligned with those who wish him ill and like his father he seems to forget who elected him. To be on the side of Teddy Kennedy and Vincente Fox will always find you against the best interests of the American people.

It's an imperfect world.

They even stopped arrests inland.

"Which is such a waste. A President is only supposed to be a "lame duck" between Election Day and Inauguration Day...."

I think most here can figure out who the "lame DUck" is.

True, I mean I can understand people disagreeing with Bush but it boggles my mind that people can't see that these are heartfelt views of his.

Many jails having to be built to house the 50% increase in violent crimes on citizens by illegals now in jail.

That was another point the President made that was nothing but blowing smoke up our skirts. Something about the illegals being just as upstanding as anyone else.

If that is so why, out of 11 million illegals, are 30% of our prison population illegals? Compared to the other two thirds coming from the 295 million of us who are legal citizens or otherwise. Doesn't add up.

I believe he did address the role of employers. He mentioned that it is currently difficult for employers to verify because of fake i.d.s, etc.

That's when he proposed a more sophisticated form of ID card that can't be faked.

Happy Hunting Jim. Just be careful; the way things are heating up, you might end up whacking half of our membership.

Now, you are calling me a racist. Where in God's name did you garner such an asinine statement and that?

We have a temporary worker program in place already. It is called LEGAL IMMIGRATION.

Interestingly, Legal immigration turns temporary workers into permenant workers and permanant citizen taxpayers.

Hi Phsstpok! Hope you're doing well.

Listening to a local talk radio show and the host just mentioned that it's interesting that Vicente Fox is starting his visit to WA in Yakima (it's on the east side of the state - lots of farming communities over there). He said, hmm, he's not starting it in Seattle w a dinner at the Gates' house like the Chinese President recently had. He suspected that the only way Fox would get to see the Gates house is w a leaf blower.

This the truth about what the government thinks about going after employers who hire illegals, and the illegals themselves.

Which is why we need to get as many as possible into the LGEAL immigration system. Then the Border Patrol will be able to focus on the terrorists and other criminals sneaking over.
