Yeah and I don't buy this crap that the majority of illegals are hardworking law abiding people. I've heard report after report about how millions of the illegals are convicted criminals in their own countries, theives, rapists, drug abusers, pedophiles, murderers. Hardly decent people. If the wall was built and all illegals caught were held for a few months in tent jails like Sherrif Joe Arpaio's on Maricopa County in Arizona forced to do community service while in custody before being deported, that would cut illegal immigration. That's what I'd do. Sherrif Arpaio is my hero.
Bush is not just the Republican's President. Bush is America's President and he must listen to all sides of this debate and give consideration to each side. I will support President Bush on this one. However, the States must also do their part and require their law enforcement agencies to contact the the proper authorities.
I also believe that English must be required as America's only language. No more translated ballets...that must stop. If you cannot speak or read English, you simply will not be allowed to have your voice heard.
We are fighting for freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan. How can you separate Men and Women from Mexico who want freedom for themselves and their families. I refuse to be so cold hearted as to deny them the opportunity if they are willing to become an American in all aspects of what an American is. Given their religious backgrounds, there is a good possibility we could turn them into enough Republicans so that we can finally shut the democrats door tight.

The only thing that we have to put up with is an ORGANIZED Guest Worker Program. Where these workers will PAY TAXES. He basically handed us our entire cake, just it was one peice short...

I am not a liberal. That is not what I am talking about. I just can't see a person that has been here and is a good person and has roots being thrown out. Get the criminals out and the recent invaders out. Put up a dam wall it's not going to happen overnight.
Oh, I couldn't agree more about the giving away freebies. That kills me more than anything else, as a taxpayer. We tried to vote it down in CA but our Proposition was declared unconstitutional after it passed swimmingly.
The last baby I had, I had a roommate in my shared hospital room. She did not speak any English and I'd bet my socks she was illegal. We both had had caesarian sections. I'd had my 3rd child and she'd had her 4th. I have a PPO insurance plan, and it took a few months to slowly pay off our bill for 20% of the total. She got hers SCOT free. It stings.
We plan our children's trips to the dentist carefully. We live the old fashioned life of the Dad earning, and the Mom home with the kids. Each cavity is $100 to fill, and so we can only go once a year with each child. Illegals get FREE dental care. We get the flyers, in Spanish, from the public schools. It really HURTS us. We are proud Americans, working hard. We pay taxes for their free services while foregoing most of our own.
I can't believe the position Bush takes on this.
Flash forward twenty..er maybe ten years...After President Bush the 3rd gives a speech ceding the American Southwest it's independence.

The illegals who invade the US and continue their criminal ways. Many are involved in the drug trade and bring a ruthless type of violence with them. Some are just low lives who are wanted in Mexico for various crimes and "escape" over the border. ANY big city cop in the West will tell you that the ratios of criminals to non are/is very high in the Hispanic Community. Our prisons are choked with illegals and the cost of supporting them is in the billions. It needs to STOP!
