NEW YORK Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton says she has apologized to her daughter for recent comments about young people -- and work.
Clinton said at a gathering in Washington last week that young people "think work is a four letter word" and they have a sense of entitlement after growing up in a "culture that has a premium on instant gratification."
Clinton told a commencement audience yesterday that her daughter, Chelsea, phoned to complain after learning about the comments, telling her mom "I do work hard and my friends work hard."
New York's junior senator says she just wants to "set the bar high" for young people because "we are in a competition for the future."

I would have said "democrats "think work is a four letter word" and they have a sense of entitlement after growing up in a "culture that has a premium on instant gratification."

...telling her mom "I do work hard... I'm sure she does work hard, but hard enough to justify that six-figure salary she got for her first job out of college? Somehow, I doubt that.

"Is" seems to be a two-letter word, but that's just me.

chelsea got a 6 figure job right out of college.
Her family name of course had nothing to do with it. /sarcasm

".....they have a sense of entitlement."
I knew if I lived long enough, Hillary would say "something" that I agreed with. Chelsea is wrong. Hillary is right. The youth taught by liberal parents of the last generation, believe that if they can survive the womb, they are entitled to being coddled the rest of their life by the "government."

Exactly how is Chelsea offended, lol...Like she works.

I think that she owes an apology to most of our young people, not just her privileged daughter, who if she wasn't a Clinton would not have the job that she now has.

Oh boy, perhaps Chelsea will be so put out with her mom that she'll lash out at her and date a REPUBLICAN!

I was thinking the same thing. W-O-R-K. Looks like four letters to me!

I'm sure she does work hard, but hard enough to justify that six-figure salary she got for her first job out of college? Somehow, I doubt that. True, but I still feel sorry for her having to bear the burden of despicable, criminal parents.
