Army cracks down on low-riding soldiers ( Cute Israeli soldierettes )

IDF makes an example of female troops who say one size does not fit all.
In a rare moment of navel-gazing, the Israeli army has declared war on the sexy soldier, ordering its female conscripts to close the gap between pants and shirts for the sake of military decorum.
The crackdown is intended to restore discipline to a generation of young Israeli recruits whose approach to uniforms has become, well, less than uniform, with many soldiers altering their army-issue fatigues into low-rider fashion statements.
Army officials say the issue came to a head at bases in Galilee and Golan Heights, where as many as 120 female soldiers have been brought before military courts to explain the phenomenon of plunging waistlines.
Flatly rejecting complaints that standard-issue trousers are "unflattering" to the female figure, the army disciplined the offending soldiers with fines, and in some cases, confinement to base.
"As part of the IDF's enforcement policy, it was decided that the Northern Command will also be stricter on making appearance conform to standards and on discipline," ...
"Thus, female soldiers who lowered their pants were ordered to exchange them, and disciplinary action was taken."
But many Israelis say the issue runs deeper, touching on the inherent contradictions of a society that runs from the deeply devout to the wildly secular.
Israel's great equalizer compulsory army service is where the twain shall meet. And where today, it would appear, one size does not fit all.
A number of female soldiers who spoke to the Toronto Star on condition of anonymity admitted to altering their uniforms in defiance of the rules.
While most said they don't agree with the provocative extremes to which some colleagues have gone, the common complaint is the ill-fitting reality of standard army sizes.

The two on top look either drugged up or starved.
Do Israeli women fight in combat with men?
A girl who graduated high school a year after me actually went and joined the IDF after high school. Why? Don't ask me, I thought she was nuts, especially when our nation is at war, but I guess she felt Israel was her nation(she was Jewish, and very pro Israel)

Jihadists don't like girl soldiers. But their answer are girl bombers.

During the 48' war women did fight alongside men but it was scrapped since it was discovered men would be prone to rescue women and out of concern for women soldiers possibly being subjected to sexual abuse if captured by Arabs. But in all other respects except for being allowed in combat, Israel's female soldiers do just about anything the guys can do.

Uh, they used to. I think there was a ruling that they don't anymore after an incident or two, where a woman sentry couldn't take it, fell asleep and terrorists got through, people died, etc. As far as I know, women no longer serve on the front lines with men, although they do get into combat sometimes, depending on what kind of duty they pull.
And I think they all look pretty, but the prettiest depends on your tastes.

Not to be sexist but I don't think women are made for combat. They just aren't. Not that the very occasional women couldn't cut it, but the overwhelming majority couldn't.
Plus morally I don't think its right to subject women to war, whether they want it or not.

My take on it is that there has to be someone left to have babies at home. There also has to be someone left to run the factories and as a last line of defense.
