Is that bleak assessment by the director general of MI5 simply a statement of an inescapable fact? Last week's report from the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) into the London terrorist bombings of 7/7 reaches the conclusion that it is.

There is a lesson in this for America. We must block immigration of all types from predominantly Muslim nations and move to systematically reduce the numbers of foreign Muslims within our borders by enforcing our existing laws strictly. Otherwise, one day we will wake up and one of our attorney general is going to be saying: "There are so many of them, there is no way to track and stop them all."

Two things I must add is that I believe the POLITICAL side of Islam disqualifies it as being a religion under our Constitution, and due to its political side (replacing the US Constitution with Sharia Law), membership in ANY Islamic organization should be grounds for imprisonment or deportation under the Sedition Act.

As soon as a mosque or islamic community center is found to have hosted personnel or distributed literature promoting terrorism, financing terrorism or recruiting for terrorism, that facility should immediately lose its religious status and authorities should target it the same way they would target a crack house or a Mafia family estate.

I'm sorry, but as much as anyone can hate illegal immigration and the governments response (lack thereof) to it, you simply can't compare Mexicans with Arabs. The vast majority of Mexicans are Christians (Catholics), and they certainly are NOT known for heinous acts of terrorism.

There is plenty of reason to be concerned about illegal aliens, there is no need to stoop to this level of demagoguery.

I didn't compare them. I just pointed out the whining from the left AND right that "we can't deport 12 million people".

I have nothing against the Mexicans, and EVERYTHING against Islamists, whether those Islamists are white, black, pacific islander, eastern european or arab.

I agree entirely. And comparing Mexicans with Muslims is so out of the ballpark that it's hard to see how anybody could do this.

Massive immigration of people with no means of support (with the result that they go on our social services) from a country with a government that doesn't want to take responsibility for them and in fact makes a large amount of its domestic income from them is definitely a problem. But Mexicans are either Christians or more or less Christianized folks who could fit into our culture without a problem, if our left would drop this multi-cult stuff and start offering LatAm immigrants English lessons and a genuine chance to be part of the American project.

But even in the worst of cases, where the left wins out and Mexicans all come in and join the Democrat Party, they are nothing like Muslim immigrants, who are apparently now arriving convinced that they are going to take over within about the next 15 years.
