I notice the article says southeast Texas and that is where Jasper is, so Vidor cannot be far.
I'm sure you stuck in your mind for that reason...
Jasper's a sad place, forever infamous. I remember they were in the path of Hurricane Rita also, got some publicity for that.

Sorry if this has already been cleared up... this is as far as I've got reading todays posts.
Vidor is right outside of Beaumont... heading toward Louisiana. Jasper is about an hour north of Beaumont, heading toward Center. Vidor is a big KKK stronghold, as is most all of Orange County Texas. Jasper is not part of Orange County. Neither is Beaumont. Baytown is east of Houston, heading toward Beaumont.
