Yes, and you're right, Clinton is responsible for a great deal of that. He lowered the bar until it just lies on the ground. President Bush may have lifted the bar back up in the WH but the press and Congress have mostly just tried to grind it into the dirt for their part. Now I see the President treating the border/illegals issue like any two-faced politician. It hurts.
For anyone who thinks I'm just on an anti-government rant I do recognize that there are exceptions in the media and in Congress. Even Zell Miller has maintained his integrity. But there is a lack of spine in Republicans too that, while not directly destructive, leave the country wide open to trashing. And we have many enemies both foreign and domestic. This is not a time to debate principle with leftists it's a time to apply it.

point in case is Senator Fred Thompson who tried in vain to constantly get clinton and it broke him, he went back to acting and our house panel tried so hard to get Bubba, I remember back then I was so impressed with Lindsey Graham and still am with Sensenbrenner
