Comfortable to freepers maybe, nobody else in the country has any idea who he is. Romney is a better TV presence by most accounts. McCain is the front-runner. If he blows up, which is perfectly possible and perhaps even likely once he reaches the southern primaries, any of the others has a shot. The fastest way to stop McCain is for someone else to beat him in New Hampshire. Right now, I don't see that happening.

McCain is dead meat, I don't doubt he can pick up 30% in a primary, and will pick up states, but he is Bob Dole old, subject to temper fits and carrying CFR and the Gang of 14 on his back. It just ain't gonna happen.
