SARASOTA, FL. (NS) -
Does anybody other than me remember the Iranian U.S. Embassy hostage crisis during President Jimmy Carter's tenure???
Do you also remember the pictures of our Embassy personnal being led away in blindfolds to an unknown location amidst a crowd of thousand's of radical Islamic's???
We were told they were students, but later came to understand they were the first of the so-called Johadist's that would be forthcoming in the months and years ahead...
The Ayatollah started the grassroots of what the entire Free World is facing today in the War against Terrorism around the Globe...
These early faces shown in the crowd in Tehran, which also 'may have' included the current Iranian President, was where the foundation for the Radical Islamic Movement got its initial roots that carry forth in today's World...
Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Syria have all had the seed of this movement planted into their society. Every one of these Countries has some sort of extremely radical and militant element of Islam currently operating there as well as throughout the entire Middle East region...
Since the United States invasion and subsequent ouster of Iraq's Saddam Hussein, those groups have not only gained steam, but they've also gained strength. The United States is continually regarded as 'The Great Satan', but yet all of these Countries want our U.S. dollars...
It's all about money, U.S. Foreign Aid, and how they get it because we have to give it...
Well let's just stop and think for a minute what would happen if we didn't give Countries in the Middle East our Foreign Aid...
Would these Countries be able to survive???
I know it's been tried before and worked to a 'small degree', but to Iran we say "no more money". To Syria we say "no more money". To our Friends and Allies like Jordan and Saudi Arabia who have at least tried to be our Friends, we give 'more' and to all others we give 'less'...
Do you think they'd get the 'message'???
Does anybody think China and Russia can make up the difference in terms of Foreign Aid? Russia has nothing to sell anymore except a 'few nuclear secrets' and lots of OIL. China, has technology developed from what WE gave them and NEEDS all the Oil they can get for their Country. Same goes for India, the technology came mostly from us, they developed it and they need Oil...
So, let them give away all the free money they want and we'll see how long that last's before they get the same message that's been handed to us for all of our efforts...
These Radical Islamic Fundamentalist's do not want our money, they do not want our Foreign Aid, they onyl want to go back into the Islamic era that 'they' think is better than ahving all the Western culture modern conveniences of today...
The rhetoric and preparation Iran has been giving to their Nuclear ambitions is not just for their own personal use, it is to spread the Jihad that THEY themselves started against the United States and the Free World...
People need to 'wake up' to the fact that Iran doesn't care what the IAEA or the UN will do to them. It's what Iran will do to 'us' that's really going to be the problem...
When Iran started converting their Oil revenue from U.S. dollars into Euros, when money started to be transferred from Banks in one Country to Banks in another Country, when Gold was being bought in exchange for currency, a strong message was being delivered by Iran. They believe they can survive without any of 'us' in the Free World...
It now appears inevitable that Iran and the Free World are headed non-stop on a collision course towards some sort of Political, Economic or Military action...
Israel has been repeatedly threatened and has reminded Iran that 'they too could be destroyed' if any outbreak of War were to occur...
A Political or Econimic solution HAS to be tried and retried by the Free World to avoid what appears to be a sure War, which we could call World War Four...
A lot of what's going on today has been predicted in the Bible. They are some who are quick to point that out, but no Christian wants a War...
Defending one's self or Country is a different matter if attacked by a Country like Iran who now has missles of reaching every Country in the Middle East and into Europe...
As a matter of fact, Iran recently moved missile batteries closer to Iraq so all of the U.S. Military Bases there were within their range. Recent Border clashes and artillery barrages have been reported in the Northern Kurdish area of Iraq also...
Then there are people reporting we already have Special Ops Forces on the ground in Iran. For those people I say 'we never left'...
If anybody doesn't think our Military hasn't been doing both ground and satellite recon of Iran, marking targets and gathering intelligence, I say remember 'the Moussad'...
What the U.S. Military hasn't done, the Moussad has in Iran. There's enough raw data and intel to go around that's probably being discussed as I type this editorial inside the Pentagon...
So, where do we go from here? Prayer would be a good first option! Getting involved in and letting all of our elected Representatives know that 'we the people' want all possible Political discussion put on the table would also help. And finally, 'cooler heads' MUST prevail throughout the Middle East...
There are people that fit this description in all of the Countries throughout the Middle East. Hopefully their voices can be heard above the ones that want a confrontation with the United States and the rest of the Free World...
So in closing this editorial, I urge all of you to become invoved in the Political process and contact your elected Representatives and start putting pressure on them...
For Now, That's Just 'OUR' Opinion...

I think Iran is just throwing a tantrum to get attention.
You do good work, Matt. Keep doing it. I'm also sending you a Freepmail about something you will want to know.
There's 7 minutes I'll never get back. I think I am stupider for having read that article.
The Muzzies are playing to win this time.
Here's the game plan:
1) A nuke goes off in Tel Aviv.
2) Hamas and Syria invade and cleanse Jerusalem and surrounding areas of the remaining Jews.
It doesn't matter if Israel exercises its Samson option; Iran has already said a nuclear war will have "acceptable losses."
They won't back down. They are just buying time.
That's exactly what I meany by getting attention, on an international scale, as opposed to a child with a behavior problem.
You take exception to my comment and then turn around and offer evidence in its favor.
You can't pull off a "hostile grand strategy" without getting the proper "attention" (and support) from like-minded entities.
The point I was making was that publicity is a key element in this.
I failed to point out the fact that their "tantrums" are a means toward the very goal you mention. (recruiting more into their cause...stirring up the rebels, etc.)
They have to win with the media first, and in combat, second (if necessary). By "attention" I refer to the media battle into which they fire shots on a daily basis. They know the media defeated us in Vietnam and they seem to be defeaing us in Iraq so why not play that card?.
They have to make sure they make the news every day if possible. That's what I meant by getting attention. It is vital to their cause. So far the MSM is giving them exactly what they need.
I mistakenly made it sound like this "attention" was their end goal, not the means to that goal, like it really is.
My apologies for expressing myself poorly.
Wrong, moosebreath.
Would you like to try for double jeopardy where the answers really matter?
My explanation of the "attention" statement is relpy #16 on this post.
Further name-calling will get you reported (as abuse) to the mod.
I guess you're too young to remember Johnny Carson.
That's not an insult, FRiend. That's a humorous way of disagreeing with someone.
BTW, if a post I made crosses your personal tolerance line, it's okay to report it and get the post pulled. I have no problem with your doing that.
I'll just come back and tell you I disagree with you in a nonhumorous way.
I grew up watching "Uncle Miltie", and, my all-time favorite Red Skelton.
We got off on the wrong foot but we're both on the same side. I'll blame myself, a retired sea captain, who is way too stubborn, for making the bad waves. I'm thinking "if I can't take a joke, I must be one".
