Hispanic American Coalition Tells Frist No to Amnesty

(CNSNews.com) - A coalition of Hispanic Americans is teaming up with U.S. House leaders in sending a letter to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) to express their opposition to legislation that would grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. The coalition, called You Don't Speak for Me!, was formed after the recent demonstrations by illegal aliens and their supporters who want the government to grant them amnesty. "When it comes to immigration policy, the United States Senate apparently doesn't speak for anyone, except the people who have broken our laws and cheap labor business interests," retired Col. Al Rodriguez said in a press release. "National polls - especially those done after the May 1 illegal alien protests and boycott - show that an overwhelming majority of Americans oppose the kind of amnesty being promoted by the Senate and the White House. That opposition includes millions of Americans who are of Hispanic heritage," said Rodriguez, whose coalition plans to hold a press conference on Tuesday at 2:30pm in the Cannon House Office Building

Hopefully he will listen. No one has the real answer to this problem.

Allow me to compliment this post with my hearty "HELL NO"! No AMNESTY of any kind now or ever. Be a contributor by getting legal and waiting until HELL freezes over if necessary but do what you do legally. Work at being part of the Solution not just another problem to be deported!

Hopefully Frist and all of Congress will listen to those of us who will never support amnesty and demand border security, deportation and severe fines on their employers.

While their at it amend the Constitution and no more anchorkid scam perpetrated on Americans!

I think there is a real answer...nobody wants to pull the trigger on it.

You couldn't pump the water out of New Orleans until you first plugged the leak.

Oh yes, you'll give an amnesty. If not, the alternative is not going to be palatable. Plus, Americans talk a lot and do nothing.

You want to send a message to the RNC that they will hear loud and clear??? Then do the following:

Send them one of these instead of a donation, using the RNC's own postage paid return envelopes!!!

Send one along to a politically like-minded relative or friend who opposes Amnesty, but doesn’t visit Free Republic!!!

The RNC will miss your money more than they will miss your vote!!! If you do not have access to a printer, then write “Secure Our Borders, Stop Catering to Illegals, Then We Will Send American Dollars” or something similar on your donation slip and return it to the RNC in their postage paid envelopes will work as well as sending the “peso”!!!

If you do want to give financially to Republicans, give only to individual candidates/politicians who support or vote to secure our borders and don’t cater to illegals!!!

Last poll I read indicated 55% of legal Hispanics oppose the shamnesty. The immigrants in my little town do.
