London, England (AHN)A British inventor unveils the world's most fuel-efficient vehicle, a three-wheel TeamGreen car capable of doing 8,000 miles to the gallon.
The 45-year-old inventor, Andy Green, from the University of Bath, built his budget eco-motor for just £2,000, and will be the sole British contender for the title of the world's most fuel-economic car in a global competition being held later this month.
It has taken Mr. Green more than two years to design and build the car, which will be the fourth eco-vehicle he has built. He holds the British record for fuel-efficiency, with 6,603 miles to the gallon in a previous car.

We'd not only have the ability to be totally self sufficient on our own oil capacity, we could probably start exporting it.
We all know big oil won't let this happen, but we can dream about it.
I know this isn't a Kournikova thread, but are there any pics? These numbers are impossible to believe. And, I would very much like to see what this contraption looks like.
*chuckle*
A vehicle that burns gasoline to move a person as fast as he can walk.
Amazing that it gets such fuel mileage.
Or do you have better information about the fine print that I'm missing?
The inventor Mr Green ----- I smell a hoax.
They should sell it with a lifetime supply of gas...

(You're now in violation of the AK rule. You mentioned her by name, but did not post the required picture.)

I can walk as fast as that car can go, and I get infinite gas mileage.
I don't have any other information other than what is given in the article, although it can't be much of a vehicle. No pics either.
I can say that a 35cc engine is typically what they put on a motorized scooter. Heck, chainsaws and weedeaters for that matter.
Whatever happened to that Segway thing? That was supposed to be the new revolutionary transport of the future. I've seen airport security riding them and that's about it.
As soon as they hit the market, municipalities started enacting laws banning them from sidewalks.
Where does it say how fast it goes?
I was attempting to use what passes in my home for logic.
So it doesn't say? I thought I was going blonde or something. I re-read it three times.
